  1. As the Stock Copy either doesn't exist or Virtually Impossible (Small Quantity) Yet to see one even though it features in Price Guides. Wondering if the groups name was a problem, similar to "Batman At The Go-Go" copyright problems.
  2. Thanks Sean Wondering if just one Pressing Plant was Involved by allowing THE DOWNBEATS copies to escape. Must have been late in production when the Artists name was changed, Stock Copies Involved as THE DOWNBEATS. My DEMO has Delta # 59496 / Delta # 59497 which places it at October / November 1965 >>> ANORAK'S CORNER <<<
  3. PopSike.com PopSike.com We have the name change from THE DOWNBEATS to THE ELGINS with STICKERS covering THE DOWNBEATS etc. The Staggered VIP LOGO for the DEMO and later VIP Design for THE DOWNBEATS. Later VIP Design for THE ELGINS Just bought this on the Earlier VIP Design as a DEMO (MONARCH PRESS) Monarch did have the habit of using the Earlier Designs for a longer period of time to other pressing plants. Group name "ELGINS" rather than THE ELGINS Guessing there's a Stock Copy on the Earlier Design too for the West Coast Press. Any West Coast Early Design as THE DOWNBEATS ? How many Variations are out there for this release ?
  4. My second copy of "HAPPY DAYS" has the ARCHER STAMP on the "A Side" whereas my Existing copy has the ARCHER STAMP on the "B Side". The Labels are Identical and both sides play as the Label suggests, however the Deadwax has also been altered. I wonder if this was a simple mistake, or was "HAPPY DAYS" ever considered as the A SIDE. TOPIC FROM >>> <<< ARCHER STAMP This copy has "W-145-A" Scratched in the DEADWAX on the "HAPPY DAYS" (B SIDE) ARCHER STAMP "W-145-B" Scratched in the DEADWAX on the "Trying Real Hard" (A SIDE) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The copy below has "W-145-B" Scratched in the DEADWAX on the "HAPPY DAYS" (B SIDE) The Matrix as above Looks like they altered the A to B by scratching across the bottom of the A "W-145-B A" Scratched in the DEADWAX on the "Trying Real Hard" (A SIDE) ARCHER STAMP ARCHER STAMP ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  6. Yes well thanks, hope you are too. One of the first listings I found when I arrived home from Night Shift and was searching ebay. As you have already said, he should buy a price guide.
  7. Thanks for that, It's the first time I've seen a listing like it. Couldn't see a reason until you pointed it out.
  8. My usual Morning Search through ebay. Found these. Stuff like DOBIE GRAY - THE IN CROWD - $999.99 >>> $999.99 <<< Why ?.
  9. Very Sad News, R.I.P. Lillian
  10. Same here, Enjoy. All The Best to the New Forum Team.

  13. First bought this on A Collection Of 16 Original Big Hits Vol.6 LP Youth Club Favourite AT THE TIME and a different style to the FOUR TOPS.
  14. Still have the copy my Mother bought on Stateside. I Remember this so clearly as a 10 Year Old watching Doctor Who on TV Daleks aside, Somehow this record made more of an Impression than the Beatles or The Stones. My Sister a Beatles Fan, Her Boyfriend and Future Husband a Rolling Stones Fan. Amongst ALL that High Profile Music Pressure. It would be my Mothers records that started me on this wonderful collecting journey.
  15. The suggestion is that your Bobby Wilson Red / White VOLT DEMO (if it is from U.S.A.) Should be a Styrene Monarch Press with a Delta Number in the Deadwax.
