I've just spoken to Pete Robinson and he has said that when he took the equipment down he didn't spot a black box but as he mentioned it's dark in there and as it's black and not a box he'd recognise he'd not have thought to much about it. I had a similiar spat with a French ebuyer; he didn't believe the thin envolope that he used was not enough protection for two records, so I send a photo of both records in pieces. Paid up three weeks later.

Bring on the 'Young Ones' - we attended the Prestatyn Weekender this month, about 20/25 and amongst them was a 17 year old who for the first experienced three all-nighters in one weekend. As he said, you can't get that at home so is off to sort his driving licence out so he can travel. The look at his face all weekend was great but will his mates be coming along, he doesn't think so, why not; because their parents don't like Soul Music. So this is where part of the future of the scene lies or does it, my two kids come along to the modern stuff but can't stand Northern so I don't see them moving onto the Soul scene. Plus the lad say's I dance like me Dad and laughs all the way to bar............ As for the scene being clicky, yep but then it's gonna be, nature of us humans I'm afraid

Looking at the scan's the Carvers disc is a little duller than those listed so it could be the vinyl that's used with the Technic's Dubplate. Has anyone thought to PM the guy and ask?

bazabod_downunde - Cleo is still in Worcester, we still see her every now and then but she still refuses to come over to the Coppertops Soulnites cos there's too many people she remembers!!!! Jerry - Mac is seen very occasionally in Malvern, there was a rumour last year that he'd moved back from Derby, where he'd taken up DJ'ing some high energy Disco stuff, but Galli got it confirmed that it was just a visit. We didn't manage the Jazz Cafe but Cardiff at The Point was fantastic, mostly 7t's Southern Soul, with Young Hearts & that 90's track which I can't rememeber.

I see no one is asking for the virginities that they lost to be returned

I have a proper copy along with these attached. 1st one is the Worcester Crew, me at the back with hat. 2nd is Gail & Di 3rd shows Mac on the right I still have my Southern Soul Club t-shirt, sky blue with the MGM lookalike bear holding two records. Don't fit anymore for two reasons; me Mum shrunk it in the wash and I'm toooo fat! Great times had, I used to organise the Kidderminster lot to be picked up by the Shrewsbury coach, then drop thru Worcester and onto Michael Woods for a quick pick me up It was only later when the coach couldn't take anymore that I organised it just for the Kidder & Worcester guys; a fella called Andy still owes me £2.10 for the return journey I did start to put a page together for the Website but forgot to finish it off, I should crack on with it so if anyone has photos of Yate they'd like to include
