Nosmo King & The Javells
I was sitting in the train station the other day and out the corner of my eye I saw a sign proclaiming "NOSMO KING" and I thought, that's a bit odd. But then I noticed it actually said "NO SMOKING"...

Just How Rare?
The checking Popsike thing is flawed too, since I'd imagine some of the rarest of the rare records going through eBay will be totally unknown, so no doubt sell for five bucks or so. Or that might just be wildly optimistic on my part...

The Soul President On Big Mack Records
I was implying that the "original" 60s Big Mack records maybe weren't entirely legitimate (or maybe they were?) since it's a "re-issue" of Rhon Silva on Uptight. What doesn't make sense in my post?

"only Your Love Can Save Me" Bettye Lavette - Multiple Recordings?
Compare and contrast (at about 50 seconds...) C-143 release: v C-152 release: Apologies if this is already common knowledge... I used to have both, can't remember which one i kept!
-
"only Your Love Can Save Me" Bettye Lavette - Multiple Recordings?
On a slightly different tangent, I've noticed that Jean Wells "with my love and what you got" (on Calla) got two releases and both are slightly different. Like you say on this release, it's just a slight variation in her phrasing which kinda jars when you're used to hearing it different. So maybe Calla weren't averse to having variations, or maybe it's just co-incidence...

Giuliano Sorgini - Under Pomperlmo Lp
Sorry, I can't help but feel you're selling this on the wrong forum... Most people will look at your picture and just shrug. Good luck though, great album. And sleeve!

The Soul President On Big Mack Records
I've heard serious collectors mention that the Soul President release on Big Mack was maybe a bootleg to begin with. Since it's a Detroit re-issue of Rhon Silva "Get It Right" on Uptight: https://www.discogs.com/Rhon-Silva-Get-It-Right-Got-To-Have-It/release/4673624 It's a bit strange that a Californian record would get a later release on a Detroit label under a different name? With McCoy taking a production credit, when it's not him on the Uptight label?

Wanted: Pharrell Williams "happy" 7"
Thanks for the link Peter, yes I've seen the copies on Discogs but... £120 for the cheapest one? Madness. Copies on eBay seem to be selling for £60/70+ but if someone on here has one and can't be bothered with eBay and PayPal fees, geez a shout...

Wanted: Pharrell Williams "happy" 7"
Now, there must be some hapless soul out there who bought this when it was $3.99 thinking it was about to big on the soul scene. And then saw the utter derision it was being met with, as everyone complained loudly "it's just a pop song, it's got nothing to do with northern soul, if you played this at a soul venue, you'd get tarred and feathered..." Well, this is where I'm stepping in and can help you out of your predicament. I'm actively looking for this piece of commercial drivel to play in a discotheque environment (not a soul club, don't worry...) and will happily pay you the cost of a decent northern soul single for your trouble. I'm talking, of course, about the yellow vinyl 45 release and not the cd single... Joking aside, if anyone can help it would be much appreciated. I'm sure the price on this will settle down over the next few weeks and months, but (like everyone else) I'd quite like one now. For a "sensible" price. TA, like...
