Staple Singers
It's on a Stax LP "This Time Around" from 1981, although some people reckon "Trippin'" is an earlier recording... not sure what evidence supports this theory. SUCH a great track...

Sugar Billy?
"Your Wasting My Time" on New Day is pretty good. But best of all is the previously unreleased "Brand New Girl" which came out on BGP a few years back. Still a solid fixture in most funk DJs boxes. Hot or not...

Anyone Have Any Insights Into These?
What exactly are you after? Good question. From where I'm standing it looks like the old "post a list of mostly average stuff up, ask people to get in touch if they're interested, if more than 3 people ask about a certain record put it on ebay..." i.e. getting other people to sort your wheat from your chaff. Would that be correct?

Lee Fields - Tyra's Song - A&t
What's the flipside of this like? I know it's not Take Me Back - just wondered if it was any cop?

Vikki Styles 45 On Odex
I would have thought that would be among finds of the year for anyone! Nobody else that bothered about picking up £1000 records for a buck? I get the impression bargain hunting isn't really that big a deal on the soul scene. I always feel like it's "I paid £300 for this", "oh really, well I swapped a small car for this" etc etc. Maybe it's just that the majority of the scene is in the UK and you don't really tend to find too many random US 45s in charity shops, markets etc. DISCUSS!!!

Ebay Seller Indiana_funk
I think everyone's being a bit hasty here. Everyone says the guy is cool, his ebay feedback is perfect, then this happens... I think the bigger question is... is he okay? Must be some US members who know him???

Jackie Wilson - Because Of You......... Why So Rare?
I've always wondered if there was an unreleased Barbara Acklin or Erma Franklin cut of "Because Of You"... Seems like much of Brunswick's output had 3 versions - male vocal, female vocal, Young Holt instrumental.

Chain Reaction "search For Tomorrow"

John Manship Auction (this Week's Results)
Okay, here we go then. Is SOUL BROS INC. really a £700 record? I remember getting this in a soul pack from SOUL BOWL back in 1974...
