Thanks for all the input and looks good for the Banbury, in answer to soul or northern, I tend to like the rarer Northern and Motown and my partner more towards the more early 70'S so we like a bit of a mix, we have one event near us which they say is a soul night and the nearest they got to a soul record was Barry White Let the music play and everything else played is more disco which we walked out and have not gone back, hope this helps. Yes correct should have put was rather than is, and saw the vinyl boot, looks like I will have to purchase the box set, so would venue's that play originals only allow this to be played or is this still not acceptable to play in my sets? Thanks for reply's so far. Daven

Also Manships guide to bootlegs,counterfeits and reissues 3rd edition, but only covers delta numbers for 1960 to 1969, this will cost the price of the book but very good and full of useful information. Dave

Hi This low life puts these up on Ebay all the time, The only good thing is he does say in a round about way they are not original, what worries me is the person buying them may not pass on the this information and try to pass them as originals, what do you do, ask every seller for dead wax numbers,or other ways of telling if they are original. Some sellers then get funny with you saying that you are saying they have no integrity which has happened to me a couple of times. As soon as I see this seller I no longer look as I have never seen him put any original copies up for sale. Daven

I have used the alcohol based cleaners and they have cleaned the records up, I use washing up liquid and water on the styrene records as I remember reading this, it may have been a topiic on here?

Would not count on that have recently bought Georgie fame single with sweet thing and three other tracks,first one skips both sides and replacement jumps as well but only one side,looking at not purchasing anything by universal again.
