I went to all of the "last" nights, but don't really want to watch Russ's embelished views on it all.

Now that's what you call a beak ! Not very often you see 2 Ravens on the roof over the road from your house ! We're very lucky, they've been round our house constantly for 2 weeks, paired up preparing to nest 😃. Fascinating to watch, huge elastic wing strokes, they also suddenly tumble and roll in flight, then there's the noise, they cronk to each other. One was in a tree earlier and making strange noises almost like a barking dog. cool brute of a bird .. I'll get better pics soon.

A Raven flew over my house this morning . I haven't seen one in two years even though I go birdwatching regularly. I heard the cronking noise and rushed out and just got a 3 second clip with a snap ! 😀. I watched him fly over town and he was mobbed by 2 crows, and I could then see he was nearly double the size of a crow . The silhouette shows the heavy head, and long tail with the curved end. Thats it , same clips as posted above in my earlier post " the way of the crowd doc", then the same girl ( dark bob hairstyle) is spinning in the casino, so same film feature..Omnibus.
The Omnibus feature ? How did you find that out ?? do you think the rest of the footage of Wigan still exists , apart from the couple of clips ??
I should imagine it was the Omnibus feature. I dont think all of it has ever come to light ? just a few clips. Maybe theres still some unseen wigan film in the TV archives that'll be discovered someday .
Ive heard on the grapevine, he's been practising some new moves.

I don't think it had a title. Omnibus was a weekly magazine program and they did a small feature on the Casino. The only known Wigan films are. "This England" also "Something Else", a youth prog did the small feature, and lastly "Omnibus" did a profile of the Casino. A few more clips from the Omnibus prog are in this documentary. You'll find them at 21.26, and lastly at 38.39.
It's quite obvious, he's trying to avoid being kicked by the Morris dancer and the Sailer doing the Hornpipe.

Its not about being a brilliant dancer, i'm certainly not. It's about not making a complete idiot of yourself .
Some people have them specially made, they have them machined over a wok.
They used to look good on teenagers weighing 9 stone, anybody else, forget it !
