Frankie 'loveman' Crocker
Used to have 'Funky Eight Corners" Lonnie Youngblood on either Turbo or All Platinum (Can't remember which) I used to think ''Ton Of Dynamite'' 'used' (sampled) the sax from this...............dunno if I was right and I don't own the record now to check, but I'm pretty sure the rhythm section was very similar too. Could it be Frankie Crockers record was one of the first hip hop sample thingamagigs ? Cheers Paul

Sean I"d like to know about the "Accept Me............" promo please jinx74 I'd be interested to know the numbering on your stock copy please TOAD many thanks for the sound clips I hadn"t heard either before, I was thinking maybe the RE-1 in the dead wax of your stock copy suggests its a re-issue ? Many thanks to everyone whos contributed so far and special thanks to Mrs Shrews (and her glasses) for helping me read the dead wax numbering Hopefully Mr Rushden will post something later Cheers Paul PS Just an idea but what do you think a Tom Moulton re-mix would sound like using the vocal/instr a la Fantastic Johnny C "Waiting For The Rain" ???
