  1. Good call Mark68 just played this for the first time in ages and doesn"t it sound good! Always thought Tamiko Jones was very underrated used to have her "Do The Pearl" on December, love her Arista LP 'Love Trip" from '75 and her Metromedia LP has its moments too..."Let It Flow" and "Can't Live Without Your Love" as well. Er..... sidewinding my way back on topic (sort of)................. Mel do you like the Ray Charles Orch version of "Sidewinder"? Eloise Laws also does a nice version on her last CD "Secrets" its called "I Got My Baby" Cheers Paul

Yes Maverick they did have a string of hits here in the mid/late 70's probably more than just one a year. Always considered a pop band over here I don't recall ever hearing one of thier songs in a soul club or seeing much mentioned in the UK soul press at the time. I'm sure there must be a compilation CD of thier stuff out there somewhere have you tried the major outlets Amazon etc? Cheers Paul

  23. No idea Sean, all I know (and this is from the "Ice Mans" mouth) is that the girls came from Memphis He didn"t have much to do with the label just payrolled it. Apparantly they had a very "nice state of the art " studio which was eventually sold on to Isaac Hayes. So who are............. The Girls? Cheers Paul
