Wheres that B/W photo from then Mel?- Shrine Records Article In Washigton Post
Yep remember reading that and didn't Dan post the same Washington Post article on here? Remember reading that just after we'd got back from DC a few weeks ago..........stayed at the Washington Plaza hotel...address? 10 Thomas Circle NW.........................Shrine records studio address? ....3 Thomas Circle NW !!!!!!! Did I walk past that hallowed ground without knowing? Maybe... could also be that the Plaza hotel now stands on the Shrine site. Did I sleep above those memories? Agree with all the previous postings BTW........ great article. Cheers Paul Woosnam- Tamiko Jones With Herbie Mann
Good call Mark68 just played this for the first time in ages and doesn"t it sound good! Always thought Tamiko Jones was very underrated used to have her "Do The Pearl" on December, love her Arista LP 'Love Trip" from '75 and her Metromedia LP has its moments too..."Let It Flow" and "Can't Live Without Your Love" as well. Er..... sidewinding my way back on topic (sort of)................. Mel do you like the Ray Charles Orch version of "Sidewinder"? Eloise Laws also does a nice version on her last CD "Secrets" its called "I Got My Baby" Cheers Paul- Tamiko Jones With Herbie Mann

Whats the title of the CD please? Saw her singing live (old Philly classics) at the Philly Int cafe in a casino in Atlantic City a couple of years ago. She was excellant. Cheers Paul- On 12" Only Day
Whats the story on this then Dave? Sounds to me like an alternative take to rhe 45 and no longer, and no sound FX either. If it was released at the same tme as the 45 would that make it the first 12 inch? Oops..........wrong thread Cheers Paul- Cover Versions
Hello Miles, have you tried the Fantastic Fours (unreleased) version? Cheers Paul- Philly International - The Rare & The Good
