I have been fixing skips with a couple of 45's in my collection recently (thanks to some great info from boba in a previous thread) and have had some great success. It's not easy but with plenty of patience, a steady hand and the right tools it can pay excellent dividends. The same method is also useful in cleaning really stubborn shit that gets in the grooves that won't come out with normal/deep cleaning.

Hi Terry My orig orange styrene demo has a monarch stamp and a delta # scratched in '#59 summat summat summat' from memory :-) Will give you the correct number tomorrow when i have it in me hands! The styrene boot has a delta number '#10 summat summat summat' Mr Manships book has the numbers in but i ain't got either the book or 45 to hand at the mo' but will glady put that right tomorrow unless someone beats me to it? Cheers Steve ps Played it earlier today and it's not as bad as i thought and may be salvagable as a DJ playing out copy, despite its crack and slight distortion! Sending someone who has read the thread an mp3 and scan tomorrow.
