  1. I guess you had a pretty clear understanding then of why the seller didn't want to hold onto that record anymore though, right?
  2. I had the same thing happen, except with a record I sold. The seller sent me pictures of the package upon arrival, which had a giant black tire of a car mark across the box, then pictures where the record was partially melted on one corner as well. was pretty p-ssed to be outed that money, but I would want someone to do the same for me, so a refund was issued.

  5. especially if the dancefloor is already hyped up from the previous DJ, I love to cool off the floor with the minute intro of this number. get a bunch of awkward stares and chin-scratching...then that minute mark hits and BAM! watch all the punters run back to the floor! works every time

  18. sometimes in these situations, a payment of part of the total is all is needed to extend the deadline. I'm from the US originally, have been living overseas for 3 years, and have seen these things happen first hand to friends and family, so maybe I take this posting a little more to heart. as stated before too, I'm a huge fan of her music, so why wouldn't I want to help her? as others have mentioned on here, please keep your comments to yourself unless you're willing to offer up condolences or solutions. Those interested in helping her are well aware that there are a lot of you who won't want to donate, for various reasons. that is fine, and natural. there's no need to feel guilty or have to explain why; it only becomes an issue that pushes a topic of discussion into the 2 and 3 page mark when someone bothers to give a snarky comment in light of a real situation. your views on how "making it" in music works, jobs etc. doesn't change the fact that someone has swallowed their pride to ask for help, therefor stating that a real situation is at hand for that person. be considerate, please.
  19. I believe this is available for purchase digitally as well, may be wrong but I believe so. It compiles a lot of her best tracks, most of which are extremely hard to find in any format. wonder if Numero is doing anything to help out as well? would be cool of them.
  20. Try is such an amazingly beautiful song, everything about it is top notch. kills me every time.
  21. extremely worthy cause, for what she's given me in music I'll certainly be donating to her. probably my favorite female soul vocalist of all time, and thats a lofty title. I'd strongly suggest anyone who's a fan of her music to do the same. thanks for posting! will be sharing this.
