Ray Munnings
Bought the 12" of this from the bargain bin at Our Price records for 49p during school lunchtime the year it came out, anyone near Amersham High Street feel free to go see if they've any more but that was well over 2 decades ago so you may be out of luck!

Bunny Sigler (Artist Of The Week)
I like the story was told of how he came by his nickname, apparently he was born with a large prominent single tooth in the middle of his mouth so looked just like a....think you can guess

Jackie Wilson - Lonely Teardrops
That clip has been posted up and taken down several times, stunning totally agree, sadly don't believe available. Do you know the story behind Lonely Teardrops? Originally written as a ballad - you can hear that version on the Pledging my love lp, then late one night Jackie and Carl Davis were in the studio and came up with the idea of speeding it up, they loved the recording so much they called up Berry Gordy in the early hours - he co-wrote it - to play it to him, call woke him up, he listened to it and hated it so much almost burst into tears, "You've ruined my song!". Am pretty sure he stopped crying when the royalty cheques started arriving.

Twinkle Little Star
Is it me or is the Traditions harder to find, have had a Parisians for yonks, so do a fair few people I know, but seems none of us have the Traditions, indicative of relative rarity or not?

Dream Record Of All Time
<<<....however if Butch is 'hanging them up'---if he wants to donate his 'Just like the Weather'----I'll look after it for him and give it a good home lol >>>> From (unhappy) memory I was the 2nd bidder on this when it went through ebay......

Cover Ups & New Discoveries... A Downward Slope ?
One of my best friends since Uni days is now Head of Tariff Development for the PPL - and yes he spends a lot of his time in Court prosecuting all sorts of people/venues/you name it, should get him to comment on that part of this thread! Or probably better not!!
- Jades - I Know The Feeling (Poncello)
-
Deadbeats - Strata
I love those records where garage meets soul, any chance you could put up a soundfile, or could give you a bell to hear, would love to hear this version. Have the regular Strata 45 but tend to play the flip out
-
Cover Up For Sale - Comin Home Baby - Floorfiller
Surprised this is still covered up, I just sold one, another one went through ebay late last year from a NY store with all the details and a sound file, maybe everyone's asleep???

White Cliff(S) Label From New Orleans
Yes big fan of White Cliffs, remember when put that Joe Wilson on a mix a few years back when it was an unknown and people went nuts for it as was muy evidenced by the ebay price on the next ones, different league than his other stuff, must admit to being a bit cheesy out sometimes and playing Chuck Cornish back to back with the Senator Jones on Shagg with the same backing, Matt did I trade you that Funky funky Football, sadly got one unheard and was rather let down that doesn't at all live up to the title (much as you and I both love Jesse Thomas I know), more importantly, there's 1 total belter of a title missing from the list above, flip of The Rocks, am sure know where have a spare of it filed away at home too......
-
Spyder Turner - Stand By Me, You're Good Enough For Me (1967)
He's still dynamite live and a truly nice guy to talk to, his Cha-tok 45 is a killer 2 sider and begging for plays

Open The Door To Your Heart - How Many Versions?
Think I read even Major Burkes himself doesn't have the PS. Have that Slam Creepers version somewhere, don't remember it being good enough to consider it playing out
-
Open The Door To Your Heart - How Many Versions?
Will try and remember to check out the label but funnily the California Malibu's weren't from California, Midwest group I think but can't remember where, either Boba can do his usual memory magic and remind me or I'll have to dig through the boxes, none on google/popsike/etc or would do it the lazy way!
-
Open The Door To Your Heart - How Many Versions?
Rarest by a mile in my box is the California Malibu's version, this one doesn't seem known at all, it's damn good too, sorry no good at putting up soundfiles before anyone asks Also into Major Burkes on Gulf, same tune but totally changes the lyrics, it's total class, see there's one on ebay with a soundfile for those who haven't heard this one https://cgi.ebay.com/MAJOR-BURKES-Texas-GULF-Northern-Deep-Soul-7-45-HEAR-M-/220752116486

Mello Souls
There's another clean copy emerged here in the States, found in a basement in nowheresville for $4, changed hands since then for a larger sum but an utter bargain compared to the last one
