I've heard of someone in the Manchester area with the nickname Bob Kettle or something like that, who can work wonders with warped records. maybe somebody on here knows him. Personally I've tried the one on you tube were the guy heats up 2 toughened glass chopping boards in the oven on the lowest setting, remove them from the oven and then place your record in between with a weight on top and then leave it for about an hour or so to cool down. I left the record in it's sleeve to protect it. It worked the first time I did it but then I tried it again on another record and failed miserably. I got too cocky and tried it with too much heat all at once. Only try as a last resort.

I did but my wife wasn't best pleased. boom boom

I think the last one was sold on here for this price about 4 years ago so don't sleep on this one. "Law of Tehran" on the BBC I Player, What a wonderful powerful film, I watched it this afternoon. Basically it's about an Iranian officer hell bent on finding the drug lord who's supplying all the addicts in his district. The acting is absolutely brilliant by everybody. Just over 2 hours long and it flew by. 10/10

I've also seen 13 of them I thought Almodovar's "Talk to her" was great but I enjoyed his "The skin I live in " more. Pans Labyrinth, The lives of others, Son of Saul definitely worthy contenders but no "Parasite". it was No 1 for me. I've just watched SISU and thought it was the most entertaining, jaw dropping 90 minutes I've had in a long time, 10/10

I always thought The Barons of soul ~ You need love sounded better pitched up slightly. It seems a bit sluggish to me at 45rpm

I Watched The Bandit last night starring Mel Gibson on Amazon Prime, it's a lighthearted look at Canada's most prolific bank robber, A decent entertaining watch however Chuck Cockerham "Have I got a right"was playing in the bar. not just a snippet but the whole song.The camera showed a record going round but I couldn't make out the label. It also featured on the end credits licence'd from Sony I think. I always think it's great hearing our favourite rare soul music featured in mainstream movie soundtracks
