My fault totally. I guess the fact of recording for a bluebeat label like Carnival made me think he was jamaican. Sorry.

Fantastic track listing. Would love to see what the other cd's have as I'm a big fan of Jamaican Soul!

Indeed, those three must be THE rarest on the UK Sue. Other rare 45s on the label should be: - Kelly Brothers "Crying days are over" - Mr. Dynamite "Sh'mon" - Edgewood Smith " Ain't that lovin" - Alexander Jackson " The Whip" - The Baron " Is a blue bird blue" - Tim Whitsett " Macks by the tracks" - Ernestine Anderson "Keep an eye on love" - Joe Matthews " Sorry ain't good enough" - Lydia Marcelle "Another kind of fellow" - Danny White "Keep my woman home"
  13. Wanted: Timebox - Soul sauce - Piccadilly UK (complete with center and both sides nice condition please) PM If you can help with it. Realistic price unlike Discogs. Cheers.

  15. Arthur Conley - Hand in glove - Atlantic. Issued as a 45 in Spain only.
  16. Eddie Floyd - Hey now - Stax Top sound!
  17. Pete Smith Northern Soul Sales Planet Records on Facebook had a Bobby Adams for sale two days ago for £60 that I think did not sell.

It's a very nice tune, still very underated me thinks so maybe you can get it for a nice price when it turns up.

    It's Teddy not Terry
  21. You've got copies here. Bit pricey £30 me thinks but... https://m.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2056088.m570.l1313.TR9.TRC2.A0.H0.Xetta+jam.TRS0&_nkw=etta+james+can't+shake
  22. There are copies available on Discogs
  23. Thank you, I've just written to him. Do hope he can enlighten me ;)
  24. It really amazes me the story behind this Turley Richards 45 and its connections with Jimmy James and the Vagabonds. "I feel alright" is written by Jimmy James and recorded by both artists, and the b-side "I can't get back home to my baby" is written by Turley Richards and also recorded by both!! Any more info why these two artists: one based in USA and the other based in the UK have this connection? I'd love to know.
