  3. Bored shittless comes to mind, i like instrumentals, but hey a bit of variety helps, ie girl , male , group , beat ballads and so on.
  4. Stolen records has been a problem on the scene since i can remember, over 30 years. If anything it was worse back in the 70's, being a bigger drug scene then than it is now, today, some do, some don't, back then nearly everbody took something or other, getting cash by any means was not unheard of.
  5. Have'nt taken a record box to a do for about 18 years, primarily because of stealing, but also it can spoil your nite out having to keep watch over them and answer lots of questions, with all the noise going on, it makes you deaf and tired. Only trade via ebay or to friends, all from the comfort of armchair, good luck in getting back, but unfortunatly, they all mostly look a like, unless it's nolan chance on bunky and not constellation, like bikes, hard to tell apart. 6. We heard you the first time :-)
  7. Whether you like one version over another is a choice thing and subject. Personaly from a dance point of view i prefer the Dean Coutney, but i also like the Len Barry just as much, I think there is room on the scene for both, is'nt there.! SHEEP

Saw an interview of his once, seemed a nice reserved unassuming sort of guy.Thought he also seemed sad that he did not receive the same recognition as some others. 65, in Cardiff, shame he was not at home with his family. SHEEP

Remember speaking to him on the phone at the end of the 80's and he was living in croydon,he had been off the scene and was missing it back then. He had just come back from the states and had 2 copies of dena barnes and the illusive Yum Yum's on ABC. Had agreed a price of £25 for it, he did'nt like it and did not value it, however, he changed his mind after realising its potential value. Think mick smith ended up with it, not sure. SHEEP

  20. Looks like Mr Smith is after a second copy, as he is the current highest bidder on ebay, assuming anybody reaches the reserve. !! SHEEP
  21. Aplogies for poor spelling. Just had a look at ebay, it looks like clarkies copy. SHEEP
  22. Certainly rare, without the raraest uk northern release.I have had my copy some 33 years, it was a junk shop find at 20 pence, did not play it for about a month after buying and nearly sold it before realizing it was an instrumental, yes mine has a white sticker with a serial number 001. mr Ian Clark is selling his copy offers over £750, i can let you have contact deatils if needed. remember it as don folger, could be wrong. First heared about this record via blues and soul back in the early 70's, it seemed to get mentioned every week, so someone was playing it then. When I eventually got to hear it some years later, thought it was an excellent beat ballad, and a good choice as a finisher. SHEEP
  24. Strange the records i bought felt cold to the hand, so obviously that did'nt work.
