hi all, where ive been working today the house owner was a big collector of uk rock n roll 50s til early 60s and as one off the best elvis presley collections in the uk!! as you can imagine after a chat and then walking into his record room shelves full of 45s mainly demos all in there original sleeves etc my mind started thinking there must been some soul in there which when we started chatting about my collection mainly 60s US soul and a few UK bits ive picked up over the years, started to reel of artistes and labels which yes he had most artists, labels etc but not the collectable one. anyway he did find a few bits of interest, I came out with these two and he will be looking though some boxes he as in the loft where he thinks he may have a few uk soul bits. anyone please give me current values on these, got a idea on one but cant find the other on demo the miracles - whole lot of shakin - uk tamla red/white demo mint- the reflections - like romeo and Juliet - uk stateside red/white demo EX+ as date written on label really nice guy who certainly knew his stuff wow what a elvis collection all uk first issues etc and loads of original sun recordings a fair few quid in there..... russ

cheers guys, ok sounds like a defect strange thing that the intro on both sides play distorted then fade out.... must be rare then...lol ps; were all copies above issues or demos?

hi all, just arrived from states a red issue copy of "cards on the table" which plays with a noise defect on the intro that fades out on both sides..was thinking a stylus burn but strange that its the same on both sides and the way it fades out....anyone elses copies have this? ps; plays great after this....

"club caliente" is free entry...we pay our djs...does the likes of resident djs carl fortnum & steve Jackson have worthless collections? I think not...some of us promotors have venues that pay us, which isn't a lot in our case but enough to cover our djs with no profits to ourselves and of course a strict ovo policy with the decks set out that the records being played can be seen by the punters so should these free entry events be avoided.......why are these events avoided because the thought of some actually hearing something they might like...outside the top 500

I also have a 1951 omega seamaster calendar with a black face, been thinking of selling it on as I don't wear it and as above just stored in a drawer, but after hearing servicing costs I think that's made my mind up anyone interested? open to trade for records lol
