Sweet Deep & Group Ballad Cd Swap
Hi Alan - I'll be at Just Soul! Mike

Kokomo
No Tony - it was a great concert. Overlong ? - It was a very short set and are you sure about Ronnie Wood ? - it was Ian McLagan from the Faces. Charles Fullilove was his lead lead player back then and yes plenty of 'licks' traded but that was expected - he wasn't the typical soul man - was he ever ? Pretty much reflected his recorded material back then to me - 'Facts Of Life' etc ... Mike

They were the support act for Bobby Womack on his first ever UK appearance - Hammersmith Odeon - March 6 1976 - which I was lucky enough to attend - seem to remember they were pretty good, Mike

and the the side has 'potential as it is also another Dees effort and a dancer by Bill Brandon 'Whatever I Am'. Both sides are awful but I have it because it is Sam Dees - sad as I am. I think there is a story behind it - Sean H ? Ithink was going to tell me - I'll ask him at Just soul Mike

Singers With A "lisp"
Always struggled a bit with Garland Green's diction, enunciation or pronunciation - call it what you will - but it does detract from what are otherwise wonderful records/songs, sorry. Always loved the between song chatter on the SAR boxset with Sam Cooke admonishing the Womack Brothers - 'Since you are singing words lets sings them as precisely as possible' and of course he was the master.
