We went to this venue from stoke and what a breath of fresh air, brill place in a distillery with Marco playing brill tunes to the small crowd, but it's the first one so it could become a real good place. We really liked this place brill friendly staff and tunes that I haven't heard for a long time ,and thanks for playing Mario biondi and thumbs up to your partner too she was lovely to talk too ,keep it up KTF
  4. Nice one Marco it was a good night with you and your partner.considering it was the first night what a friendly place and the staff top marks.this could turn into something pretty good .sorry we didn't go for a drink after but at my age well you know the rest 😏.

  11. DANCE COMPS,can anybody say when these first came about, I can remember in the early days of allnighters about half way through there were great confusion when the comps were getting going ,from choosing the dancers to about 2hrs later actually getting going.they didn't bother me to much as I was always tune buying or something like that .are there many venues apart from Blackpool etc etc that still do these or have they bitten the dust 🤔
  12. All the replies in this post are all valid, and it shows you just what passion there is out there.from the venues to the tunes that are played, but when it all comes together, that's what makes us call ourselves soullies it's a host of things ,and may it keep going .
  13. Totally agree with you dave 👍
  14. Oh I like this ,breath of fresh air
  15. The last big venue I went I asked the same question to a big name dj,and he shot me down saying abruptly I PLAY TO THE CROWD ,so we suck it up (Blackpool tower)
  16. When I've been to venues that play the odd one that's not the top 500 it empties the dancefloor, the only place I've been is the sink in Liverpool that play a different set that seems to work .so I think that you have to put your wandering adventure hat on and find something a bit different. Good luck .
  17. Checkout dave raistrick records he bought one off me ,just Google it good luck

I generally like my venues with a few rooms of different soul music and like the different styles of soulful dancing in the other rooms like bridlington spa.if you see a good dancer they tend to have there little corner of the room so I tend to not venture near them but like watching the moves and maybe add a little in my routine ,I like it when the feet to the head all become involved in the moves because a lot of dancers think that it's just the feet but when feet and body and hands all become involved it's excellent to watch ,only seen probably about a handful of dancers doing this

The can on the dance floor comments would probably be better suited to a oasis concert or similar venues but not no never on a soul doo ,but I never LOOK BACK IN ANGER.
