What a night , loved it , let me start from the beginning, the first time my wife and I attended ( pre covid ) feeling the all nighters were getting a bit much for our bodies we decided to embark on a journey of local northern soul nights , the first time at this venue I felt it was a bit like a wedding reception come Xmas party, but not one to judge on just one appearance I persevered, what a great judge I am , this was possible my sixth appearance and everyone has superseded the other , before I get involved in how good the guest DJs were , I have to give a massive shoutout to the Promoter/ Dj / and Charity fundraiser, Steve Clowes ,, TAKE A BOW , anyway back to the guests , I don't think you could get 2 smaller DJs than wee HAMMIE & wee SAM EVANS but my word what they delivered was a GIGANTIC night of music ,

With so much going on around surrounding areas, I am going to go with my gut feeling, the last couple have been of the highest quality musically even though slightly low on numbers , so being someone who appreciates good quality dance music I am sticking with this great little venue , cheers Stephen

as promised I attended this second event with my friend David , the first one being quite enjoyable , but why oh why don't people support there local soul nights , we all know the politics of northern soul but this is a music scene that should be respected by all , I will be honest here , the first time I heard Avril play a few years ago I was not to impressed, I was expecting more from a dancing DJ , that is why I decided to give her Wittering soul night a go , I can only imagine the nerves got the better of her then , ( Kettering Ath Club ) but all I can say is even though the numbers were low the Music was of the highest quality, so hopefully this little quality club that is aimed at dancers can continue, cheers Stephen

Firstly I enjoyed myself, as my friend and I arrived we were greeted with a smile and a nice gesture as to any requests just ask , as a great believer of letting DJs , DJ and me dance I only offered up 1 pure quality tune , mr turkey Richards , which was duly promised and played at 11pm 👍👍 earlier in the evening as expected it was slowly filling up , after a very nice warm up dancers from various areas of the compact yet good hall were finding there feet , as we progressed however the music became a little tame , the tempo somewhat subsided, the dancing became less , the way I have always gauged a DJs performance is if I dance for half their set I am more than happy , this did not happen on this occasion, but was very close , and as this was our first visit I am more than willing to return, to them greeted smiles and nice gestures

Very sensible advice which I always adhere to as I'm sure / hope all regular attendees do , such a great night would be a shame to lose it , cheers Stephen
