  1. No Mark the show was 5th April and the links on 6MS go back to 12th! Can try and burn for you - just pm addy and I should be able to sort. Cheers for sorting the listing out - will revisit with details to hand!
  2. Not seen either in years Mark, sure they will still be into their music though. Was listening to the Johnny Reckless mix today and nearly had to ask what a certain record was as I knew I had it.... "I've got you on my mind"....then it came to me.....Gary Glenn (PPL LP). Any chance of rustling up a listing from him? Simon - enjoyed the show with Ian D - some good stuff there Sir!
  3. The site is coming on a treat Mark - nice one mate - enjoying the podcasts and mixes. keep em coming...
  4. Halcyon days Arthur . I remember Sam playing it as "The Carstairs" - probably 1981. Hope you are well - like your avatar!
  5. https://shop.ebay.co.uk/merchant/filbertuk Thanks for looking...
  6. A Keb spin mid '80's Stafford
  7. My brother Neil "Sammy" Salter can be seen flicking the "V's" at the cameras in the queue outside, which certainly backs up the above. I remember my Mum being quite shocked at his behaviour as we all watched it on the telly!
  8. The power of Guy Hennigan for finding it for me all those years ago
  9. Always really liked "And When We Party" from the same album. Great club track.
  10. Hi Alan, good to see you on here, they must have been blind - I would have been in my "slim soulie" build days, and Ion somewhat veered in the other direction before he became a gym god. Great to see you at Guy's do last year - see you at his 60th! Or Jock's 50th?! (theres a thought!)
  11. No Steve, single sided, 4.55 in length... Cheers, Robin
  12. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Moving-South-South...5415&sr=1-1 Cd reissue available at a very modest price...
  13. Jessie Gomez "Baby I'm Coming At You" Mankind 12"... How rare is this on 12" ? Paul Phillips was angling after mine a while ago - and it makes me think if Paul needs it then it must be hard???
  14. An absolute pleasure to Dj there for Alan, my first taste of the incomparable Scottish hospitality too. I always remember the journey up..with a mate in the back who was feeling a bit "suspect"...the conversation got round to someone saying "peace of mind" and he was convinced he heard "the police are behind" ...that finished him off before we got there! Then on the way back once, playing pool with Ion in a Northumbrian hostelery Sunday lunchtime...the locals were convinced we were squaddies and we had to exit stage left in a hurry...
  15. Nice one Les, good to see someone else is up at this time of the morning!! What about the Tom Browne too? Awesome!

How about this great "live" rendition of "Blessed"... https://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=vAvs2aLI_ss Loads of other Kenny vids on You Tube....Can't find "See You Again" which is one of my faves by him...moves me every time I hear it...namechecks on recently departed faces off the House Scene...any one got a clip?
  21. Richard Searling's "Rock Candy" "Makes Me Feel This Way" c/u Wigan '79/'80 I reckon....
  22. I sold a copy of The Arcades "Theres got to be a loser" to Ian Clark in about '83 - did'nt package it properly and it arrived cracked. I've still got it and certainly learned my lesson...there had to be a loser and the loser was me
  23. Thanks for that Nick, no just been browsing through a load of 7's and being honest am probably never going to revisit them...priced to sell and amazingly little interest. Sold the Bennie Tyus to someone with taste and the Eugene Blacknell has gone too. Not bothered really - they'll just go back in the collection for another few years...

  25. That was the night some lad from down south who had started a Modern Soul fanzine (Pete Ferrie?) turned up and Phil took him under his wing in his inimitable style.....we found out later this lad was a copper . What he made of Phil (in bare feet) and the niter in general God only knows! Great lad Phil and an absolutely brilliant Niter. (Thanks Barry for some of the best memories)
