Hi Nige got one of these produced by my old pal Simon!! Bought it a few years ago - the underbidder asked me if I would photocopy it for him! Bloody hell, it was only £20 and would have cost more to copy! Why didn't he bid more? Sorry don't want to part with it. Good luck in your search. Julian

  10. Has this been booted on Arctic 152 ? TIA Happy New Year to each and everyone of you. Julian
  11. I'm not getting involved in this discussion other than to say two things. 1. I totally agree with Brian Phillips and his recollections - let's face it, if he doesn't know, who does? 2. Spent one night there in the company of 'Docker' and Les Cokell - they spent 8 hours discussing soul music and I think I'd heard of about 5 of the records mentioned by them!!!!! It was after this 'memorable' event that I decided to start collecting seriously and got my first DJing job at Lord Jim's in Huddersfield. Those were the days. Also on the story of the Ad Libs - Franny O'Brien and John Bollen used to borrow Dave Godin's copy and bring it Lord Jim's, Vic Lounge, that pub in Keighley who's name I forget and other places in West Yorkshire for us to play. Happy times Julian
  12. Now then boys, put those handbags away!!!! If you read Brian Phillips post earlier in this thread he CONFIRMS that MGW was played at the Wheel. End of discussion. Hope you and your families all have a great Xmas and New Year. Julian & Carolyn

  23. . DARROW FLETCHER...THE PAIN JUST GETS A LITTLE DEEPER JUST PLAIN OLD GROOVY..........I would have given anything for a UK LONDON DEMO JULIAN once upon a time but nrver got one. did you? GEORGE TINDLEY AINT THAT PECULIAR WAND DEMO. To be absolutely fair I asked Julian if he discovered this but he didn't know. In all sincerity I think he did. At Hernies in Leeds. c.1971 (I mean that bit ) Hi Swish yes, I have a yellow Demo on London - it has a typed title and 248 stamped on label with a blank yellow label on t'other side. Pretty rare I think? Still can't remember the George Tindley discovery but I do remember playing it at Hernies! Cheers Julian
  24. Hi Nige yes, thought about this as I couldn't remember it being played. However, I did discuss it with Mr Minshull and he told me it had been played hence me adding it to my playlist. Mind you, Keith seemed to be in a world of his own on the day:D Cheers Julian
