  1. It does, doesn't it.
  2. Depends on the record, how rare it is, and whether or not it's playable. Will also depend on the buyer and how long they have waited to secure a copy, any copy, that will at least play. Obviously, they'd now have the record until a better condition copy turns up in the future. But yeah, couldn't do it myself.
  3. Denbo posted a post in a topic in Record Wants
If anybody can sell me the UK release of this record, I'll sell my mint US Demo copy to recordlurv. But only in that order.
  4. A Timi Yuro IWNBOFM on UK Liberty was found at Spitafields about 5 years ago in mint condition c/w original company sleeve . . . . . . . £2. T'was very early, as soon as the stalls opened, on a Friday morning if memory serves me well?
  5. What was the Chairman 45 Lars?
  6. Aah, right. Well, glad to see it's still in operation and open. Ignore my last comment then. :-)
  7. And I think I'm correct in saying that that one was up for sale / auction on eBay just a months or so ago. Don't know if it's still open?
  8. I thought I saw a copy of that 'test pressing' at Blackpool Mecca on the 444 label? Was it Ian Levine's copy I wonder?
  9. Will you be including What's The Use - Chairman of the Board in this box set of CDs? If so, where will you be getting the sound file / recording from?
  10. I take it from the deathly silence that the answer to my question might be a resounding NO!? :-( Oh well, the search continues.
  11. Did it transpire that somebody reading this thread has a 7" or 10" acetate of the following two records; What's The Use - Chairman of the Board Gods Gift To Man - General Johnson If so, please PM me. Thanks.
  12. WANTED: Paradox - Ring The Changes - UK Polydor Cash waiting. Please PM me with condition and price.
  13. Perhaps the DJs, where you heard them all first, had speeded them up, making the records in the box set sound slow?
  14. What about the record numbers on the label on the right hand side? They end with, starting at 0, then 1, 2, then 3 I think, then a gap, then 6, 7, 8, 9. Correct me if I've got the numbers slightly wrong. But why the gap in the numbers?
  15. Stop jumping on the bandwagon Ian, we all now know that she had two different spellings, the latter, as Steve pointed out, for astrological reasons.
  16. I was being facetious Steve. But interesting retort.
  17. Yeah, that's the American spelling, what do they know.
  18. Get those added to the list Ian.
  19. Ian, What about Honey Cone, and Barrino Brothers, from the You Tube posting 'More Unreleased Invictus / Hot Wax. Why aren't they on your list above? Also, 9) Too Far To Reach - Dionne Warwick Acetate should read 9) Too Far To Reach - Dionne Warwick You Tube Clip and 5) Where There’s A Will (There’s A Way)- Chairmen Of The Board You Tube Clip should read 5) Where There Is Faith - Chairmen Of The Board You Tube Clip Finally, there's no 'e' at the end of Warwick.
  20. Does anybody know if General Johnson's "Gods Gift To Man" ever saw the light of day as a 45? Test pressing, acetate, etc? Maybe a 10" acetate instead?
  21. Apologies all round to all those who have bought off me on this occasion. I was hoping to get your records off to you before I left for a trip abroad early hours Thursday morning but failed miserably. I was then hoping to package them up Sunday evening when I got home (St.Helens), with a view to posting them off from London (where I work) during my lunch break on Monday. Unfortunately, my plane was badly delayed and I got home quite late. So, please bear with me and I'll get them all posted off this coming Friday, as I'm travelling home Thursday night. Once again, apologies all round. Dennis.
