You're not kiddin' So a big thanks once again to Mike.
  10. Yeah, that's my copy. Tell you what though, the vinyl boots are bloody good. Has a TH- before the rest of the record number, unlike the originals. Is this significant? Thought I had a vague memory of the TOMAS release, NEVER seen one though.

Thanks to Mike from the Soulful Shack in Culcheth, I now have a copy of this wonderful record!!! I had the pleasure of being entertained with loads of R&B and early Soul tunes from his collection the other night and believe me when I tell you, he's got a great collection, which is why it's definitely worth a trip down to his venue next weekend. Added to that, you've also got Guest DJ's in the form of my old mate Kev Kus with his particular slant on the New Breed R&B scene, and of course Pete Griffen, who did a brilliant spot down the Hideaway the other week at the Modchester Mod Weekender at their new venue. Awesome.
  12. Yes, I heard it played in my study about a month ago. Don't remember it being 'gritty'. Better go play it again.

    That was Dave Rivers.
  14. Verbal explanation is fine but if an original scan versus a boot scan can be provided, then even better.

As a matter of interest, has anybody got a soundbyte of this record who wouldn't mind posting it up.
  16. Well, only goes to show, different strokes, etc . . . . . . Keep smiling Pete.
  17. JMO, but I don't need to hear the whole thing. Anyhow, which Dusty Wilson? It's Gonna Be A Tragedy? Nearly as bad as Frank Furter. Better Than You? Even worse. BUT, like I said, just my opinion. Just think of the tons of records you could buy for £500 well better than FF & The Hotdogs.
  18. What's he on about Mel???
  19. You've been hoping that all your life Mel , along with a few other Blue Noses.
  20. Not bad? Funk Brothers Production. Nuff said. :o)
  21. Yeah, but £500? Somebody's having a laugh!!!
  22. :o) Aaaaahhh but where there's muck there's money :o)
  23. Ian Levine used to rave about it / play it many years ago when he had his own website or some kind of forum. I too thought it was UK only for years then thought I saw one on US in the States back in about 2001.
  24. Top man!!!
  25. Yes, have you got a soundbyte as well? Anybody else if Ken hasn't?
