  1. Where did you hear this Mik?
  2. I tried to find one in Refo. Didn't manage it. Probably didn't conduct the search properly. Any chance you could try for me in case I was too stupid to do it correctly?
  3. Previous posting off Marcus Gora reckons Ra-Bra is the first release. Thanks everybody.
  4. Can somebody oblige?
  5. Where can I find a soundbyte of the Diplomats - I Really Love You?
  6. Right, thanks. Did this come out on Ra-Bra first or Jay Vee / JV?
  7. Anybody got a copy of this record that they would like to sell me? Please PM me. Thanks.
  8. Can somebody please help. Need to know quite quickly. . . . or I'll lose the bet.
  9. The Love I Need - Frank Butler Did this come out on Ra-Bra first or Jay Vee / JV? And are they both the same versions? What year do you think this came out?
  10. Nah, you've done the right thing. You'll never get your money back selling second hand boots. Having said that, seeings how you've also got the issue, sell that and buy her the boots with the profit you've made. That way, you're both happy. Buy the boots now then recoup your costs when you sell the issue. Sorted.
  11. Yeah, come on Tommy, Goran, and Bjorn, playlist please But seriously, there's many top tunes on this show and it's a killer not knowing what all of them are. Obviously, you and the guest DJ's have stated what they've played but it's hard to decipher which is which exactly.
  12. But you asked for "discography of cameo Parkway", which means UK releases, not US releases.
  13. Dave's site is really good, no question. But the original question was for a label discography of Cameo Parkway, which must mean the UK label release because in America the label was Parkway and Cameo seperately. So, is Dave's listing more for American Parkway and American Cameo label collectors only. Now I know UK Cameo Parkway records retained the US Parkway and US Cameo serial numbers, so Dave's listings would still be relevant. But, who can supply a complete UK Cameo Parkway label listing? I'd be interested to see that too.
  14. Found "Window Wishing" on YouTube. I went to the Wheel and can't imagine this being played there. Although they did have midweek sessions so it might have been played then. Back in the day, it wasn't easy to get to Manchester from Liverpool midweek so I only made the weekend visits.
  15. Hi Guys, Nice thread. I'm a fan of Dionne Warwick but confess I'm not familiar with ALL her work. These you mention, "Window Wishing", which you say was a Twisted Wheel number, and "I Never Knew What You Were Up To", a brilliant dancer, I've never heard before. Also "Home Is Where There Is Love". Any chance of a soundbyte of each? Thanks in advance to anybody who can oblige.
  16. Aren't you missing a track between Pearl Woods - Something Touched Me and Tammy James - That's Fat Jack
  17. Thanks. Particularly liked; Betty Everett - Too Hot To Hold O'Nita Hammond - Mighty Fine No No Starr - Swing Your Love My Way Big Ella - Too Hot To Hold Tammy James - That's Fat Jack Chase Canfil - Woke Up This Morning
  18. Wonderful stuff Davie. Some I know, many I don't. Please PM me a playlist, or is there one somewhere already and I'm just too dozy to see it?
  19. Did you ever get an answer to this question? I'd be interested to know about that possible connection as well.
  20. Has it happened to you yet?
  21. Denbo replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
Yes, German 45 with picture sleeve on Liberty 15 084. B side to "If You Need Me". Credited on label as a "Double L" recording. Took me years to track one down so I guess it's quite difficult. Hope this helps and doesn't put you off. Good luck. PS - Never heard of the Portuguese EP before.
  22. I know it's old hat but I STILL CAN"T BELIEVE THIS IS A 1959 RECORDING. It's SO way ahead of it's time, it's unbelievable!!! And a forerunner to THAT MOTOWN SOUND!!!
