how did she do that with a camera in front of the t.v? i think the b.b.c now offer to buy this stuff back along with missing episodes of dr who etc if footsie dosnt exist here it could exist elsewhere like australia as TOTP was big there and i think gets re-runs, i actually know a young guy there who collects episodes along with old video recorders etc ill try to talk to him,id love to see this again, the whole country was talking about it the next day!

  6. thanks again geordiejohnson i just ran spybot and there was something there so i zapped it excuse that last dumb question in last post it obviously dosnt matter if windows has remembered passwords as you're being tracked and they are getting everyting that way, i wanna go back to e.bay to bag that my hearts symphony promo i saw the other day for 2 quid but im too scared now
  7. thanks geordie poor billythe boot ,when these scumbags retrieve your passwords is that ONLY if windows has asked if you want them remembered?????
  8. i sold my copy about 5 years ago for £30 and i have always regretted it not so much about the money but because i love it,it was hard to set a price then as i think this record has never been that well known,it is rare it took me 10 years to find that copy, a couple of years later i saw it on martin koppells auction list well battered and a minimum bid of £300 i think, this was an old kieth minshull spin pre-wigan
  9. just recieved an e.bay message 'i have paid for this item when will it be shipped!!!? then theres a link to the item it looks genuine, like a twat i clicked it luckily page not found came up and the link was different, fished around item and supposed buyer markdonne9988 dosnt exist be careful out there thiose streets are mean maybee youve had one already its my first of this type and i get account detail ones daily
  10. yes martin youre right, what i was trying to say was hes not trying to profit on ACTUAL postage, i suppose in a case like this how p****d of you are on a scale of 1-10 really depends on what the record was actually won for [i can never get used to the word 'won' on e.bay, you can win the lottery, but how can you win something if you pay for it] if someone gets the record cheap i suppose its a 2 out of ten but if you pay tops its a 10 out of 10!!
  11. MARTYN you never originally said it was a 12" so $11/12 is normal, im gonna stick up for him i think what hes done is normally lists 7" throws in a couple of twelves clicks sell a similar item and forgets to change the postage, easy done, i buy lots of 12" some charge up to $15 so $12 is fair. i know some may think it stated $6 so it should be honoured.......
  12. ah now im following jack barnes didnt read first post correctly LORRAINE CHANDLER has to be in with a chance
  13. jackie wilson,has to be
  14. my best memory of the ritz was laughing and joking with the crown heights affair, they just came up and started talking, they were just 'hangin, out at the ritz' but the tavares actin like superstars i was in the foyer talking as they were leaving they all ran through and out of the door the last one turned to look back,i think he was expecting to see 800 screaming girls and there were none you should have seen the puzzled look on his face that one was still a great day and i have the ritz poster for that one firmly nailed to my wall
  15. this could be argued by many, but id say undisputed truth and boney m daddy cool were released at exactly the same time, the u.k were really slow on the uptake well over a year behind america where they had become established and were selling in large numbers,i think the u.k companies got it wrong they believed stick any garbage out on twelve inch and it will sell cos the people are beggin for this stuff, they stuck out mixes that were too short or even the single versions, they totally missed the point.
  16. jazzyjas the whirlwind stock copy was backed with TOUCH AND GO-ECSTACY PASSION AND PAIN PETE surprisingly car was wasnt a 12" it was originally played off the album, there was a long u.s promo single though PETE richard must have been using a u.k copy via r.c.a,eddie was released as a 12 in the u.s well the daddie of the ritz is here but neil youre forgetting the daddy 12" of the ritz THE MOMENTS-NINE TIMES/DO WHAT YOU FEEL THE RIMSHOTS-U.K PROMO ONLY ALL PLATINUM and im sure dee dee sharpe wasnt twelve inched till 1980 it was first an album track and a few more of those promo onlys we couldnt get [well till now TAVARES HEAVEN MUST BE MISSING AN ANGEL CAPITOL PROMO SOUTH SHORE COMISSION TRAIN CALLED FREEDOM SCEPTER TEST PRESS ESTHER PHILLIPS-WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES-SUNSHINE SOUND ACETATE EMOTIONS-THE BEST OF MY LOVE COLUMBIA-PROMO THE REFLECTIONS -GIFT WRAP MY LOVE-CAPITOL PROMO THE PLAYERS [CAMEO]-FIND MY WAY-CHOCOLATE CITY 10" ACETATE BOBBY MOORE-TRY TO HOLD ON SCEPTER TEST PRESS LOUIE RAMIREZ-SALSA-COTIQUE[was released] THE MIRACLES -LOVE MACHINE-TAMLA PROMO HURT SO BAD-PHILLY DEVOTIONS-COLUMBIA PROMO one more the holy grail of collecting 12"singles FREE MAN -SOUTH SHORE COMISSION SCEPTER TEST PRESS [have to get this before i die ]
  17. nice one this was an old mecca one along with the flipside do the walk both with more than a twist of the crown heights affair
  18. yes that was a u.k promo only then issued only in the u.s at the same time levine released as a u.k promo only [and never came out anywhere else] was james wells-baby im still the same man polydor that ran more than 7 minutes, these two were gigantic at the ritz, strangely as many times as these tracks have been 'thrown' onto c.d theyve never appeared in their full versions anywhere. and another is BODY SHOP-CLIFFORD CURRY-BUDDAH PROMO-but clifford wasnt credited on the label it just said body shop...
  19. id go with that too MISCHIEF and also the break was different too the strings.
  20. talking of disco international what about the 7 minute 12" re-edit of THE SHOWSTOPPERS-AINT NOTHING BUT A HOUSEPARTY 1975
  21. bit of a quiz really name records that were played on the northern scene that got a 12" release,im obviously talking mecca /ritz/cleethorpes tracks, im really meaning the rare stuff from the early days of 12" 1975-1976 and most of these 'wouldnt' have been played on the scene because at the time they wernt really known about till later, as they were rare promo only copies. some of you may run from this and some may cry but some may be surprised ill start with MARBOO-WHAT ABOUT LOVE-MIDLAND INTERNATIONAL 1975 PROMO ONLY[nice long mix too ] must have been one of the very first.......
  22. no one has really took the time to think what the artists might think about this its just selfish to say we dont want these records played played anywhere but 'our scene' most of the singers on northern soul records have made nothing from the northern soul scene, and for once these artists will get paid, and when they get thier cheques i for one hope they bathe in champagne lord knows they deserve it!
  23. i think it must have been pulled all i get is input error,if it comes back somebody should bid and make the toad pay the fees. come to think of it he must be gonna get a big bill for listing it, so soon he'll dissapear back to the sewer anyway. when i started selling on e.bay i always thought it was three strikes and youre out but not so,i was offering an original copy of ski-ing in the snow once, this girl had bid around £100 then she sent me an ask the seller a question saying shed bid on my 'INITIATIONS' and i thought something wrong here,it could have been a typo but ill check her out,i was almost blinded by the red on her feedback page,so i blocked her and got burn in hell e.mails for a month, but ive actually come across worse, 87 negatives and the real funny thing was people were still bidding on the guys stuff. anybody seen more than 87
  24. the correct title for this album was wvon chicago sampler up all night, petes right there was another with inserts i have both somewhere, but my later copy didnt have inserts the tracklisting [petes insert?]was stuck to the back cover so it was a completely different album just using up the old cover must be they printed too many.
  25. thanks for replySOULSMITH but iain isnt on the list
