Gladys Knight On Later With Jools Holland
Agree Roger, INCREDIBLE is the word! As was Tito Jackson (surprisingly). We saw her at Notts on Sunday (didn't realise you were there Cliff!). An absolute MUST SEE! Only Cardiff & Aberdeen left on the Tour. The whole thing blew me away. Gladys has not lost a note of her amazing voice. Backing and Band were out of this world. Tito did some real Raw & Dirty as Fook Blues with a superb 8 piece Band + a Jacksons tribute with three of the Foxiest Females ever with voices from heaven! Am still completely aghast at how good they were! Gladys, though, is in a total league of her own. But her backing group were also SENSATIONAL! Did a complete life story on stage - Letter Full Of Tears - Every Beat Of My Heart - Some really GREAT Motown material - "If I Was Your Woman" sounded just like the recording! Highlight was she did a couple of minutes of "Love Don't Love Nobody"... fooking superb! Anyone not been to see her? FFS be there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sean

Archie Bell & The Drells-Rare Issue
Dog Eat Dog was (I think) the A side on the this, the first press of the Atlantic 45. After Radio picked up on the flipside "Tighten Up" it was pressed, within a month, under the same Release number as Tighten Up pt 1 & 2. Most of these, in this configuration, seem to be Promos. Not impossible, in this original format, but very rare in comparison to the 2-3 million copies the Repress sold! Sean

Can anyone help me out with this? Cash waiting! Cheers, Sean

Stolen Records
Shocking Stefan, I hope they are returned soon. An advert in the local paper - reward - perhaps? Maybe the person who lifted them was just an opportunist thief and doesn't know what he/she took? Sean

Ann Bogus On Statue
Of course, mate. Thought I might have nabbed one in Memphis, but it didn't show! Willing to pay a few bob for it, but it seems to go quite cheaply when on eBay. Anyhow, you can be sure I'll send the second copy I'm offered to you!

Ann Bogus On Statue
Anyone got a copy of this to sell to me? Please pm me with condition & price. Many thanks Sean

Vietnam & Protest Soul
One 45 that never gets a mention on 'Vietnam/Protest' related threads is the great Pam Sawyer song, produced by Frank Wilson, recorded by the Supremes in 1970, "Bill, When Are You Coming Back". It's on the album "Right On!" and first became aware of it in 1970 as its on the flipside to "Up The Ladder To The Roof". Always loved it! Sean

Dede Warwick / Debra Anderson
Steve & Rob, the Drive / Seville Debra Anderson 45 you're referring to was "Where Do We Go From Here" / "I Can See Leaving In Your Eyes". I know, you're both thinking 'what a sad git'... sat at home worrying about such trivia on a Saturday night... ...but someone's got to do it! Sean

Dede Warwick / Debra Anderson
Hi Cliff, Debra Anderson is the original recording and it is by Debra Anderson. Her original was played as a fairly new release at the Mecca (74). I've always believed the Dee Dee Schwarz/Warwick to be a cover, fairly soon after the original (a couple of months or so). Personally, I prefer the Dee Dee, but theres not much between 'em! Worth noting that, the Dee Dee Warwick also came out twice on Private stock, originally in 74 on 45,011 as DEE DEE and then in 75 on 45,033 as DEDE. I also have the original UK copy I bought when new! Like it! Sean

Hi Martyn, Yep - the flipside is "We're Keeping Our Business Together". Its a nice record in its own right. Probably a bit too fast to dance to, but a pleasant enough ditty! Enjoy! Sean
