Manship’s copy of Cecil Washington on Prophonics
If it goes for much more it will be more blooming more expensive than the house it was recorded in (record is in better condition though) https://www.estately.com/listings/info/666-beach-street--1

Well if you are correct then I won't swear, but they obviously were not very well educated in business. We will meet them on their way down perhaps and buy there stuff cheap Funny though

Seems strange to me that a multi millionaire would buy something to potentially lose money in the future. Steve Jeffries told me (many years ago) he had lots of them who pay silly money. "Why would they look at auction sites and bid when they are loaded" (as he smiled in a knowing way)(I am sure John feels the same), which implies to me that these dealers would just phone their millionaire contacts first and sell them I wish these people would admit who they are rather than hide, so we can question the motives Are they DJ's, wannabe DJ's, profiteers or just shelf slotters ? Maybe they don't even like Soul Like you say Steve they probably don't care (which makes me question why I bother to comment 😀)

I agree Karl, however, just to mix it up a bit, could this be the elusive Northern Soul "genre" record that will prove us wrong 😀, I am just getting and bucket- Dissertation help! Looking for interviewees
Blues and Soul article "It was in a Blues & Soul column, in June 1970, that Godin made another significant cultural intervention, when he gave the name "Northern Soul" to the new soul "scene" emerging in clubs in Blackpool, Stoke and Manchester, whose fans would come into the Soul City shop at weekends looking for fast-tempo dance records" Please to note the word "Scene"- Jesse James Track Info Please
I wonder why the silhouette of a Shiva statue (publishing) was originally on the labels and then replaced with a Buddha (which made sense) ? Jesse was writer with Cliff Nobles, but I can't find out much about Curtis Wilson(Writer)- Sharpees “Do the 45”
I agree it was most likely as it sounds a little like Jr. Walker and the All Star's "Shotgun" It did get to the UK (President) without Jobete credit- Manship’s copy of Cecil Washington on Prophonics
Which bootleg I wonder ? 😀- San Antonio Soul - Bags & Beans, Salome, Mellow Town
I am sorry if this has been covered before and if so, please direct me I know of the info on Discogs, but wondered if the more knowledgeable than me on here could help fill in some of the gaps I am posting some images to start the thread Bags and Beans is most likely the publisher (see Myra scan please) and not a group as previously suggested, I think they are The Unforgettables (an ironic name for me now 😀) Flarey Bursea is most likely Fiery Bursey (would be an amusing alias) It has been said that The Royal Imperials is Billy Butler & The Enchanters 'My Heart Is Hurtin' just a different version and different writing credits ?- Dissertation help! https://underground-england.com/northern-soul-history/- Sexton Records - Soul Galore - Simon Soussan
Your opinion is valued, however, the rubbish as well as the good stuff is still and always will be part of history and sometimes need not always be taken seriously (Dave Godin would have certainly agreed)- Dissertation help! Looking for interviewees
It is so important not to class Black American music and White separately and NEVER call it "Northern Soul" music as it never was "Northern Soul" is a scene not a genre of music - San Antonio Soul - Bags & Beans, Salome, Mellow Town
