  1. Another cracking afternoon of soul, with a wonderful group of people, down in the West Country. A terrific club, with a knowledgeable clientele. Look forward to seeing you all soon.
  2. Really sorry we can’t make this, as have prior engagement in the diary. We plan to get down to support Liz n Vicky in the near future and hope your evening goes well. All other best from The Waddesdon Contingent.
  3. The Waddesdon Contingent will be turning out in force for this one (all 3 of us). Can’t guarantee that abuse will not be thrown on stage when The Mighty Becket is behind the decks. Really looking forward to this.
  4. The Waddesdon Contingent will be here at some point today, possibly with Daughter in tow. Looking forward to seeing you all.

So, a new venue for a well-established Club. It’s in a village hall, with a large parking lot outside. Once we battled our way through the gang of feral youths hanging outside, we entered a decent sized hall. Plenty of tables n chairs, good size dance floor and the decks raised up on a stage at the end nearest the door. Bar area in a separate room - basic offering, prices ok. Was also a dodgy Welsh bird offering free cake and biscuits to all and sundry. Just say NO, kids - it’s gateway baking to get you hooked on harder baked goods further down the line. Music was excellent throughout the whole event, with plenty of people up dancing all the time. Great to see people attending from as far afield as Stoke and New Cross Gate (Congratulations for getting your car out of there in one piece 😎). Particularly enjoyed Tony Clarke’s set and was great to see Ivan Colman again. All in all, a great event. Many thanks. The Waddesdon Contingent.

Thank you for a brilliant night. We only went because Rugby all-niter was cancelled, and what a fantastic time we had. Loved having the opportunity to dance to “The Bollocks Song” again (The Mar-Keys) and glad that Iona joined in - it’s obviously a London thing! Wonderful evening and we might even venture up again deliberately again one day.
  6. Gutted to be missing this and will be thinking of you all as Jake and the boys take to the stage at Barrowlands. (It’s a wasted life that I’m living at the edge). Have a great night and I look forward to hearing all about it from The Waddesdon Wives when I get back from Glasgow. Ps. If Bebbers plays Frankie & Johnny, can someone please flounce off the dance floor in a huff on my behalf? Cheers 😀

Our first visit to this new venue (having been regulars at the old one) and we loved it. The venue itself isn’t initially that easy to find; despite being on a main road, it’s pitch black and easy to miss. Once there, plenty of parking. As you walk through the doors, the decks are immediately to the right, facing a decent-sized dance floor, with seating and the bar to the back. Drinks prices are great - less than £30 for 7 drinks. There was a great crowd there, who hit the floor earlier than usual and stayed there all night. Great sets from the residents Ken and Jeff, while Shane Cheesebrough entertained us all with a delightful smorgasbord of varying styles. We even got to reacquaint ourselves with one of the old crowd from the early 80s and it turns out that she lives down the road from us all, so the car could be getting fuller soon on our regular jaunts out. This is a cracking club and well worth checking out. Special thanks to Jeff for putting this on x All the best The Waddesdon Contingent
  7. Delighted to have this fantastic club back on the calendar. The Waddesdon Contingent will be there en masse (all 3 of us 😀). All other dates are in the diary, too.
  8. A big thank you to everyone involved in putting this one. We had a great time and look forward to the next one.
  9. Thanks for a great evening last night, Gents. Our first visit, won’t be our last. Not the first time I’ve seen a certain DJ go down on one knee making a proposal - just the first time I’ve seen him do it outside the gents toilets 😀.
  10. Gutted that we cannot make this. Hope you all have a brilliant night and can't wait to see you all again in the New Year. All our love. The Waddesdon Contingent x
  11. Hope it went well last night, Gents, and that everyone enjoyed themselves. Really sorry we couldn’t make it. All our love. The Waddesdon Contingent
  12. Apologies everyone, it was £2K that was paid for this record earlier this year.
  13. I can confirm that a copy was bought for £3k earlier this year (and, no, not by myself).
  14. Thank you to all concerned for a great night. Two of us were in town for a stag do and came along for our weekly NS fix, expecting to stay for half an hour max. Over two hours later we left, doing a great impersonation of hot, sweaty messes. Loved the choice of music, adored the vibe (great to see so many people who don’t appear to be obvious NS devotees enjoying themselves), just wish the dance floor was a bit more forgiving; having spent a couple of hours dancing in trainers, my knees are killing me! You have a lovely Club their, Folks, and all the best for the future.
  15. Many thanks to everyone who turned up last night and battled the atrocious local road conditions. Hope you enjoyed the great sets from Kev Such and Derek Smiley; always a treat to see these two in action. Lovely to see so many of you up on the floor.
  16. Brilliant evening. Greg Belson's set in the main hall will live long in my memory.
  17. Just seen Happy Feet’s comment above mine. I am sure you felt the same with BWFC’s win at Wembley this season. You can only win what’s put in front of you and when you do…… 😄😄😄😄.
  18. Trust me, no snobbery at our end. They reckon we had something like 30k of us in Prague (and you couldn’t walk anywhere without seeing a West Ham fan; although I can’t vouch for the club offering us sex with a midget - had to guide my very drunk, married mate away from that one). If you follow a team and they win a cup, I do not believe that the sheer joy you feel is any greater or less based on the “quality” of the competition. I could not have felt any more elation when Bowen’s goal went in if it had been in the Champions League Final. If any of you are at Rugby next week and you see a very happy Cockney singing songs about cats and being champions of Europe, feel free to come over and say hello (or shut the f —- up!).
  19. Apologies for the appalling grammar.
  20. Hope it isn't but fear you are right. I'm will be out there and have the match ticket in hand. If we win, the past 38 years of following them home and away are vindicated. If we lose.....

Popped in for a couple of hours, as we were in the area and have heard great things about this event (a very good friend has played here recently). Lovely venue, great prices at the bar and the warmest welcome from the hostess, Helen, we could have hoped for. A friendly crowd with no pretence - there to have a good time and a dance (although the floor could do with being bigger; I believe there are plans for this). Musically, nothing that will surprise you - just good, solid sounds that get you up. No obvious OVO policy, so probably not one for the purists, but a great night out for anyone who enjoys the classics. The Waddesdon Contingent will be back again, hopefully for longer next time.

I’ll keep this short n sweet. This is the best NS club in the area. If you live locally and haven’t been yet, get yer arses in gear.
