Just A Few Little Wants
- If You Knew...the Other Version By Geno
No one got the e.p then? It's called 'HI'- If You Knew...the Other Version By Geno
Ebony Keyes 'If You Knew' seems to be getting a few spins...how much would I get for my issue on UK Piccadilly if I were to sell? It's in ex condition. Anyway, has anyone heard the other version by Geno Washington also on UK Piccadilly but E.P (NEP 34054) only I think. I would post a sound clip up but don't know how. Take my word, it's great! There's also a couple of other good tunes on it too...'Water' and 'Always' two great Northern tunes! Another one of Geno's to look out for is 'All I Need' UK Piccadilly 7N.35346 (1966), another great Northern sound. Also if anyone has the E.P, could they post a scan of the cover as mine's gone awol...- Moving To Work In London
Don't know the Garnett Mimms album you're after...but i've just won 'As long As I Have You' (United Artists 3396) L.P. Is this any good, buying it blind really. Interesting as it's got the same cover as his 'Warm And Soulful' l.p.- On The Brink
Thanks for all the replies....I got all the info I needed and then some! Great, this forum! John- On The Brink
Old Northern instr 'On The Brink'....covered up as Matt Parsons Orch 'Boogaloo Investigator'. Who was it (think it was coupled with 'Puff Adder'). Was it British release only?- Albums
Well, the Bobby Bland just went on ebay for £36. The Barbara Mason must be around the £40 mark too. Not sure of the rest as they are more RnB orientated. John- Recomendatons Please
The beauty of these is you can stand them on top of each other (there's an inch spare above the 45s), and, as they come in either black or white, you can checker them!- Storage Boxes For 45's
Ikea do some brilliant wooden ones in black or white, absolutely perfect for 7" records, plus they are about an inch taller than a 45 so you can put them on top of each other, thus saving more space! And they have the cut out handles too. About £4 each.- Save My Love For A Rainy Day
Love your site Maverick! Glad to see you're keeping the Soul alive in the USA!- Save My Love For A Rainy Day
Can someone please tell me what the Marv Johnson version came out on? Is it an unissued track? It's certainly not on his only Motown l.p......- kings lynn - dukes head - sat nov 4th 2006 7.30pm - 1.00am
Northern Soul, Crossovers, Modern & RnB...1960's - 2000 £5 on the door. Expecting a large crowd like the first one in July!- Lyrics You Can't Make Out
"....and there's great pains in my heart"- Shrine Re-issues
What do the others play Pete? Mine's deffo Jay D Bryant! Anyway, I digress, have you got a copy of Torpedo 26 Rupie Martin Allstars 'Musical Container' you want to sell?- Jerry Butler & Leon Haywood
Was only talking about this Leon Haywood track off the L.P the other day and played it to a mate the other night, we both agreed that's it's superb! Not on a 45 as far as I know.- Wife Swap
Heard J.J Barnes unissued version of Vandellas - 'Show Me The Way' on there last night!- British Releases
Some UK 45s actually come with the centres already professionaly dinked out, according to J.Manship these do NOT de-value the prices. There are several around on the Atlantic label, Stax, Liberty especially....I've had 5th Dimension 'Train Keep On Moving' on Liberty Uk with the centre done this way twice now. Anyone comments....- 7" Picture Frames
That's the kiddies! Thanks geeze. John- 7" Picture Frames
Great for the wall in the ol' record room! I see you said you're looking for 45 sleeves. Any idea where I can get those repro usa/uk 7" sleeves? You know the ones, Columbia, Island, Blue Beat, Imperial etc- Mp3 Wanted Joe Phillips
Joe Phillips.....got one a few months back, great beat ballad....atmospheric etc. Sorry I can't post a sound file up though. Will try tomorrow.- Do You Play Your Vinyl
If I didn't D.J then i'd probably only get them out on the odd occassion! It's the 'knowing' you have them and can give them a spin anytime you like that satisfies the soul! (sometimes)...plus the added bonus of telling your other soul collector mates..."look what I got".... Do I sound shallow??????- Ann Sexton In Matalan
I heard the same CD in T K Maxx Saturday in King's Lynn, as you say, the other tracks were'nt Northern Soul. There's obviously a store CD going around and whoever compiled it thought they'd stick one on for us lot!!!- John & Wierdness
Nice one Mike , I see your point, should've mentioned about the circle and the darkness of the vinyl and it might have got over £2,000... Well done anyway. John - If You Knew...the Other Version By Geno
