  1. 2 great 45s, both UK recorded and just as good as any 'blue-eyed Northern' coming out of the USA.
  2. Pretty sure these were also 'The Stocking Tops' and had a Northern tune on UK Toast...
  3. Ben Atkins & The Nomads
  4. I think Josep is getting mixed up with....
  5. Yes, I purchased that LP when I heard 'Gotta Make You Love Me', great 'Blue-eyed Northern'. If it was available on a 45 it'd be $$$$$$!
  6. Oh, apologies then, didn't realise.
  7. I believe Fred Bridges is a black Detroiter, not sure about Bob Thomas though? EDIT: https://soulfuldetroit.com/web12-fred-bridges/fred-bridges-text/03-fb-robert-bateman.htm
  8. A gem and in my box!
  9. Woah! I have that, never realised either
  10. I just purchased 'Great Fever' and I was wondering if it's your old copy as it has a sticker tear right where your yellow sticker is!!!
  11. This one sounds interesting.... Preview 1551 - Teri Mathews 'I'll Gather Happiness' / Dick Jones 'Sweet Soul Baby'
  12. Yeah I got that on UK
  13. Actually 'The British Walkers' who also became 'The Sweet' (on Smash).
  14. Some good ones there Mark, I'll seek out the ones I don't know. Re- Memphis Nomads, a great 45 on Stax that I have. Here's a photo...
  15. Keith had recorded a tune around 1967 for someone called 'I Died Today'.... well in 1974 that came true. Some say it was suicide....
  16. If You Don't Like It, Don't Knock It...
  17. Well well, thanks RobbK! ...and just to prove there were some good tracks on MSR here's a Northern dancer....
  18. Did she also go under the name Teri Summers? It's just that Keith recorded with a Teri Summers on M.S.R. Here's a pic...
  19. WOW! Some classics and incredibly rare 45s!! Jealous.... Interestingly, a track on your first mix, I have been speaking to one of The Tikis (Hey Girl) sister, I sent her a CD including that track and the flip (her brother part wrote 'Hey Girl'). Good to see you've included the better side of The Buckinghams Northern classic!
  20. Sorry to bring this old thread up again but just been looking up some Preview 45's and sorting the wheat from the chaff (mostly chaff lol). There was an artist called Dan Monday on some, could be Keith under a pseudonym or is it the 'Baby Without You' guy? Here's a photo of Rodd Keith (back left) with Leon Haywood, not sure who the black lady next to Keith is? I know Charlotte O'Hara is the lady with the flower in her hair, she recorded on Preview as 'Bonnie Graham' who has a Northern sound on Preview 1403 'Come On Strong'.
  21. What's the RCA one from 1983/4 worth then Dave?
  22. Here's the flip of the sleeve...
  23. Anyone got a Rodd Keith for sale?
