  1. I recently handed out a publication of mainly vinyl 45 reviews, as well as guest reviewers I myself reviewed many quality 45's, mainly 60's, mostly cheap (ish), over 250 different reviews and all in full colour. My point is this, if you are looking for good sounds, especially cheap, go through all the record sales on SS, FB and wherever else they are, list all the ones you don't know, go to you tube and have a listen, you will find so many. My other publications all have many record reviews in them, mostly cheap and I reckon all the reviews together would amount to over 1000. I am already thinking about another as I have heard many new tunes - to my ears - over the last two weeks. Good hunting.
  2. Hi everyone, my name is David Miller, from Edinburgh, and I was editor of Soul View fanzine from 1996-2010, and from 2023-2025, I am currently working on a publication of Record Reviews, leaning more towards the cheaper side of things, the overlooked, forgotten, underplayed, under appreciated, etc, and I am looking for guest reviewers to help me get this over the September deadline line, if anyone can take time out to dig through their boxes and review some 45's you think need a shout out, please send anything you recommend, to me via email or messenger. I have guest reviewers already and I am currently at 230 records reviewed, so far. The publication will be full colour and everyone who sends stuff will receive a free copy, I only ask a minimum of 4 reviews. Feel free to contact me for further info. email: dltim67@hotmail.com. David.

    Anyone know Geoff from Worcester?
  4. That was mine! And I still love it too!
  5. Did anyone catch the finished results?
  6. Can anyone put up the artist/title/labels please? I have the prices, thanks.

Murder 24/7 BBC, last night was brilliant, it's on again tonight and tomorrow night, also 3 nights next week.
  8. I am currently working on a project and looking for others to get involved. The project is Soul Vinyl 45 Reviews so, if you are interested all I ask is that you can do at least 5 reviews and that all 45's must be £50, or under, SEMI-KNOWN'S, UNDER APPRECIATED, OVERLOOKED ETC. The publication is expected to come out in September 2025 and will be full colour, everyone who contributes will receive a free copy. Feel free to PM me if you need more info. My thanks. David Miller.
  9. Less talk, more music and some records - probably most - don't need introduction, we know them all!
  10. It's what's in the groove that counts!
  11. Andre Brasseur - The Kid
  12. You should check out Iain McCartney's excellent 'Soul In Print' book with info on most fanzines from the 60's onwards, available from Amazon.
  13. This is incredibly sad news. A Lea Manor, Albrighton, legend and a genuinely top man.
  14. Shotts, got into Northern - proper - mid-90's and having seen footage and listened to many that frequented these events, these would have been right up my street, many great sounds spun and not all the so-called rarities.
  15. This is brilliant, look forward to going through it later on. Dave encouraged and inspired me to keep going with my fanzine and even compiled a crossword, sent me record reviews and put me on to - who became - regular contributors. I never met Dave but spoke with him many times on the phone, and yep, he was a funny guy. Thanks for this.
