  3. Rick, make sure you get down to Rugby WHEN its a niter - if the evening continues in the same vein then it will be right up your street. ( I think Pete introduced Annie and myself to you at Middleton and /or at Brookfield in Wolves) Hope you see you again soon Wulfie
  4. Have to agree Ted, went a couple of months ago for the first time - but shift work stops me getting down too often but you stretch the boundaries with the "spagetti" comment I like the two room concept too - and enjoyed flitting between rooms ( via the bar and record dealers) - it was almost like being at a niter Atmosphere spot on - as you say I will get back there - this time with Annie in tow, though we now need to find a date where it doesn't clash with either of our shifts Wulfie
  5. Good luck Jordi and Gary - hope I get chance to flick it on at work I think you can get it on the web - its a Shropshire based station cos I was there last weekend on my way back from Newquay - if you look in the original thread about the show Craig W posted up frequencies and access Keep on keepin on Wulfie (at work again !)
  6. DONALD BYRD - Electra I think this one is a double sider Pete - and I wouldn't have thought expensive, as it was popular in the Jazz Funk/Club scene - and doubt its that rare ( well it can't be cos I found one in my garage) probably sells for a fiver or less - and if someone else comes and says different my copy can go too Wulfie
  7. funny - used to play this out in normal clubs years ago - and I enjoy the Ojays version more now Wulfie
  8. Tobi Legend - Time will pass you by - I never know how I will react to hearing this as it has been there at both the happiest and saddest times in my life Luckily my wife Annie is always close at hand and seems to know better than I how I am going to respond - bloody smart arse !!! Wulfie

  10. I always seemed to be in the areas at the wrong time - I lived in Leighton Buzzard 1978-1981 and djed at the Unicorn ( when it was run by Stan ) as well as the Black Lion with Ronnie King In those days it was a standard club night, though jazz funk went down well - also had nights at Spiders Web Club at RAF Stanbridge No sign of any northern soul in those days - and as I'd just returned from Cyprus I thought it had gone forever - glad to have been proved wrong Wulfie
