Silhouettes Lp On Goodway
ok thanks a lot. it seems like this was like an oldies cash in LP to people who remembered the silhouettes but didn't own anything and there wasn't anything in print. the fact that they had an actually good soul track seems like an anomaly.

Is That A Mole I See Before Me Brandishing A Burning Spear?
if it's a cover version of the song they still have to license it and broadcast royalties are paid. they just don't have to pay a fee for licensing the master recording.

No problem, misunderstandings are too easy on the internet. Thanks a lot for your more adult response than mine

ok, sorry for the dickish response, I thought you were saying there weren't copies for sale. I will dig up at least one of the flyers right now, hold on.- Harvey Scales And The 7 Sounds "get Down"
I don't understand. Are you asking me to type something into the gemm.com search for you and then highlight the prices and answers, take a screenshot, and post it here? Or maybe you are writing this just before you go to gemm.com and type in "harvey scales" in the search bar and hit "search" and then you're going to thank me after you see all the results? Probably the second.- A Few Wants Cash Waiting
also, the feminiques is first. catalog number 599, berganees has number 600- A Few Wants Cash Waiting
"walking in a crowd" is the title of an LA record -- jimmy hamilton and whatt? on affie. the opus 1 record is "smiles" and "you hurt me" (the same song darnell pittman does but it's not good for some reason)- Rare Chicago Group Soul
not that important, but the inbassador record is from delaware, not maryland.- The Ledgends Fear Not
also, if anyone has one, I'm interested in buying the second red balloon 45 "fear not" for a friend. Thanks.- The Ledgends Fear Not
I'm pretty sure this is the order of their records. The notations on tad are really the ledgends but with clifford curry (later lead of the notations) singing lead. [the notations] Tad 205 Trying My Best To Find Her / Gonna Get Ready Red Balloon 01 - Gotta Let You Go / Something To Remember You By (69) Locket 756 - Gotta Let You Go / Fear Not (70) CUR 3014 - Gotta Let You Go / Fear Not (4/70) Red Balloon 03 - A Fool For You / Fear Not- Monster Ballads Hiding On B-Sides Of Northern Classics
the new wave of sweet soul collectors are the ones spending the cash on stuff- Harvey Scales And The 7 Sounds "get Down"
this song charted nationally. on gemm there are multiple mint copies for ~$30 and I'd guess the only reason they aren't $5 is due to Harvey's popularity over the last few years, people probably bought up the $5 copies and sellers put up other copies for more. Harvey is a super cool guy, fun to hang out with too. I've seen two different flyers from the late 60s with pics of harvey showing you how to do the get down, I'll see if I have a scan somewhere.- Harvey Scales And The 7 Sounds "get Down"
really? this was his biggest hit.- Monster Ballads Hiding On B-Sides Of Northern Classics
this is more "monster" than many people's posts, one of the greatest female group tracks of all time- 'dished' 45's. Does It Concern You As A Collector?
It depends on what you mean by "edge lift", there are different kinds of warps and it depends on whether it's a heat warp, etc. I don't think anyone should play with record flattening themselves (especially on expensive records). Find somewhere that has a machine and try that, even that is not foolproof but it's way safer. Finally, if you do want to do it yourself, you could buy this thing: https://www.vinylflat.com/ I haven't used it and have not heard of anyone's experiences with it.- O.v.o And C.r.&.p Venues
this thread started a revolution. thank god someone bumped it to remind everyone of it.- Comedy Sale Of The Day
it's definitely comedic in the context of this thread just because that seller is Pete S- Comedy Sale Of The Day

What does the rest of the LP sound like besides the 45 tracks?- Funkadelic On Say Brother In 1969
I know this is not the main type of music focused on this site, but this is pretty excellent color funkadelic footage from 1969 https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5sq4t_funkadelic-say-brother-tv-show-1969_music- Montclairs - Hung Up On Your Love - Paula Mislabel
Yeah, I don't know if I would even call it a reissue, as "make up for lost time" was a big hit for the group and the company was repressing it based on demand. The mispress of the flip side would have made a big difference since people were buying it for the "make up for lost time" side. - Harvey Scales And The 7 Sounds "get Down"
