  5. The Marvin Gaye Some Kind Of Wonderful is not the same as the Soul Brothers Six, it is a different song altogether written by Goffin/King on the In The Groove LP. also done byThe Drifters earlier, so this may be the version your friend is thinking of. rob h.
  6. The syl Johnson version came out in 1978 on HI H 78517, no original matrix numbers to be found anywhere on the disc only the new ones. Strange one. rob h.

  8. bloody ell Tone your right, my copy is Billy Davis two steps from true love, i would have swore it was the reflections, funny how your mind plays tricks, but no worries while looking for the Reflections record i did not have, i came across my copy of Margaret Reynolds...Today I Started Loving You.. on Mighty Mo Records lovely midtempo tune, start playing it and then happen to notice one of the writers is none other than J R Bailey. I had a white card too from the early days of the Railway in Hampstead, number 26 on my card, this thread prompted me to dig out an old folder i have stuffed full of early flyers for these and the early covent garden, horseshoe bar and 100 club events, along with newsletters from Adey, brilliant reading, not techie enough to upload tho, sorry. rob h.
