  1. Not sure where you are coming from by the invading 'our' space comment. You can either ignore the poster or ignore the thread. Quite simple really. You chose to read and reply but thats not intrusive. I don't enjoy the back biting, on either side, but I do enjoy Ian's narrative about his musical history and experiences.
  2. In one. Saw this and another issue sold a few months ago for roughly the same price. Looked on popsike and all were demos going for that or more. Just thought I had missed something as the issues were cheap as chips. Think I paid £1 for mine in Casino. Goes to prove quality doesn't need to be expensive.
  3. Thanks for the replies. Pretty much as I thought.
  4. Followed an ebay auction tonight and was surprised what it went for, - approx £50. Looking on popsike that might have been cheap but they were all demo's. What price does a black MGM issue go for? Thamks

  8. As long as it stays there and doesn't get on the decks.
  9. Totally agree Rod. That record has NO relevance to any soul scene. Period.
  10. Call me Mr Cynical but a new memeber with the name Mrwindupbird probably tells you all you need to know.

I thought that as well but wasn't too sure. So used the term re issue in its broadest sense.

Quick answer. Lana was a reissue / oldies label in the 60's. Recollect that it was east coast but could well be wrong on that.
  15. Hi Dave, I thought that as well, just a one man outfit if you believe the film. Happy New Year to you and Margie. See you both soon.
  16. Great film and I really enjpyed it. IMO far better than Dream Girls.

  21. Due to an unexpected family bereavement I haven't had a chance of completing the CD. But should be done and posted out by early new year. Not had a chance to listen to all I've recieved so apologies in advance if I duplicate any tracks. Tabs

Bit more than that Ed. Popsike ranges from £40 -£100. Last one in August this year was £66. Happy Christmas both.
  23. Hi Matt, I reckon it's both collectors and DJ's. (and not forgetting some of these records are rare, espcially in good condition) Think we agree that the oldies niche is probably the most popular market so an oldies DJ will pay the cash. Seasons compliments to you and the family. See you at Move On next year mate.
