  2. the gary rushbrooke recording on here from '81 is pretty good as far as audio quality goes, as the recorders we had in them days were crap most wigan and stafford niter stuff from tapes is usually unlistenable

  8. remember my top 5 being played too, cant remember themexcept one was the HIgh Keys. Also had my wigan top 20 readout in fullon Searlings Cellar Full of Soul on Jazz FM (not many were) with him saying it was the best wigan top 20 he'd ever seen (most were his tunes this may have had summat to do with it and lots that no-one else had mentioned in their lists)

When did the americans grasp the rarity of northern soul records, and which ones were sought after in the uk (well give or take a few they describe as northern soul on ebay ) - was it the advent of ebay, record price guides e.g. john manship's? Obvioulsy looking at someof the stuff turning upon ebay at the moment just goes toshow they are still over there for finding., so where do they get them from, house clearances, etc? just wondered, coz years ago they didnt have a clue!
