How Rare Is This?
wow, that's brilliant, I love it. GIVE ME ONE (a copy of the record that is) On a sort of related subject (Peacock Gospel records) - how common/well known in R&B circles is the original "Elijah Rock" by Reverand Cleophus Robinson (on black Peacock)? Heard it by chance when trawling ebay the other week and got outbid (went for circa $66) but snaffled a copy on t'interweb last week for $7 Absolutely brilliant gospel R&B - will sort out a file unless someone else can chuck one up..... I remember buying a 60's gospel-ish pack from anglo in the early 90's for buttons and I don't think I ever really checked them properly - will be digging them out sometime this week and listening carefully though

Royal Jesters "that Girl"
I've had this for a good while, I quite like it but personally would consider it too poppy (verging on MOR) to play out.....

Values Please?
cheers Paul, Fulton is a deepie, but the Joe Wilson is a nice southern soul crossover dancer. I have a pile of misc 70's stuff that I may list at some point for some guidance- all cheapies I think but could do with making sure as this 70's/modern lark is all greek to me

The Vonns - So many days - King
I picked it up about 6-7 years ago after Pete Coulson put me onto it and play it regularly-ish - used to play it at TOS and beyond, and I have a white demo too - very scruffy but plays great - can't honestly say I ever got the feeling that many people knew it, though that's probably because nobody ever listens to my sets

The Vonns - So many days - King
ace hasn't ever really 'broken through' to the mainstream has it?

Subway Riders - After The Session

Difosco - Sunshine Love
I still prefer Andy Butler's version
-
Subway Riders - After The Session
I'm after the version that plays the 'proper' instrumental version of moonlight music and you/what can I do etc. - i.e. NOT the 'novelty' talkover version (which is far more common). Thanks in advance!

Collecting 60s Us Capitol 45s
hear hear, it's great to read people tipping their faves with such passion, I've got 2 new 45's on order myself because of this thread so far. Another one of note is Pete Smith's fab tip Mary Sneed- when I was 15 - which is a brilliant 'Liz Verdi-esque' dancer and another Capitol fave of mine is Merry Clayton's absolutely belting version of Beg me.

Am I Going Mad
Another example of people trying to put others off from bidding on a top sound just so they can sneak it on the cheap at the last second. Shamefull....

Prices Please
you're not supposed to trick the locals with your dodgy disco Dave, it's the other way round!! (and obviously you can't treat them with said discs)....
