Yep, was aware that it had been flattened mate. Is the Charters Arms still there? Peter
  2. I forgot the link in my post Kirk - it was here https://www.discogs.com/buy/Vinyl/Carstairs-It-Really-Hurts-Me-Girl/77821180?ev=bp_det Sounds like you're sorted now anyway. Peter
  3. Indeed it is Ted. One of those atmospheric records that has it all - and that extra, hard to put your finger on thingy. It's in the same vein as Cecil Washington imo. Peter

Yep, fantastic all niter Martin - probably my favourite along with Crofty's Cleggy All Niters. Great stuff Chalky - top man. Peter
  12. Thanks again Chalky I agree - Pat was up there with the best in the 80's - mixing oldies, 60's newies and modern side by side. He used to have a half decent review section in Black Echoes too - early 80's. Peter
  13. Here you go Gerry https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MV4cgs-bPic Peter
  14. We'll be watching Richard, we'll be watching! Peter
  15. Yep, I think he's been forced to back down and relist it due to the number of emails he's had - most of em emanating from here. Which, i believe is a real positive for SS. Peter
  16. I like the Jerry Butler record mate. Do you want to sell it? Peter
  17. Ay up Swifty Yep, I remember that. Our lot went to see that too - all enjoyed it and were high on the testosterone! I've watched it since on the telly in recent years and it just wasn;t the same! P
  18. In fairnesss to the seller he has relisted and said it's a second pressing and all of the old bids have been cancelled. So, we will now see if the buyer was willing to pay 300 quid for a record which they DID know was a boot but wanted it anyway. The Which team of SS! Peter
  19. I can't remember when CH started mate - must have been around 1981? Richard was on at CH initially as you probably know - and then the politics kicked in as I understand it. Lots from that list were played at CH - some uncovered by then. P
  20. Nice one Chalky Thanks Peter
  21. He replied to me as well. "This has been rather odd, as all I have put on the listing is the info on the record I havent confirmed that it is an original as I always steer clear of that as there were so many boots"! Peter
  22. I might get a fcuk off! I just told him that I knew that he knew that it was a counterfeit.
  23. Sent
  24. Fcuk it - I'll mail the guy! Peter
  25. Just bought a nice white demo of this stunning soul 45 - Chuck Armstrong - How sweet it is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJ18oi8MncQ Peter
