  1. That sounds really different from a clip I played earlier from youtube - hang on I'll go and get the 12 on - it's deffo Bobby - erm, maybe not deffo?
  2. Bit of a different post from me I guess. I surprised myself with how much I liked R Kelly's Chocolate Factory album - it is superb. So, perhaps a tad controversial - I don't know? Here's Step in the name of Love from the album. I like it. Peter
  3. Interesting Martyn The twelve is accredited to Bobby only - no mention of the Valentino's. It's a UK 1973 United Artist release - it looks brand new! Peter
  4. Just found an odd 12 inch - odd in as much as I must have bought it blind yonks ago. It's Bobby Womack and an extended version of I Can Understand It with Harry Hippie on the flip. Didn't know either side way back then - not hugely keen on the a side but I have grown to love Harry Hippie. So, I'll post that. Poetry from the master. Peter
  5. Hi Martyn You know this will get the thumbs up from me - Sir Dickie in his pomp indeed. Wasn't it covered as James Lewis and the Case of Tyme - or summat similar. Peter
  6. I don't think I've posted this before - wrote a post it last night to remind me. Got a few Teddy P albums - I think this is from one of his first, it's certainly the first one of his I bought and probably one of his finest. Teddy Pendergrass The Whole Town Is Laughing at Me Peter
  7. Not sure mate - I have the album. Coincidentally there is a post it note on my deck reminding me to post up one of Teddy's tracks later.
  8. Yep, enjoyed listening and being involved in the chat room. Well done Charlie and yes keep at it Nick - great stuff. Peter
  9. Clifton Hall anthem - The Dells Your Song Bought this at Clifton Hall I think as a new release. Never understood why it got so comparitively pricey? Does anyone know the answer to that? Peter
  10. Wasn't sure whether to post this up - but, hey it's worth a spin. Give it some volume particularly for Agh, Agh bit near the end. Caviar - I'll Never Stop Loving You Peter
  11. I'm as bad I just went and checked it was there - even though I know I must know that i have it - otherwise how would I know! It's one of the best cd's I've got mate. Cheers P
  12. Absolutely Martyn. On the brilliant CD you did for me too. Cheers Peter
  13. Evening Martyn Been listening to a fair bit of Darrow Fletcher recently. I have been blind to his stuff barr a couple of the old classic tunes until rcently - the new stuff I've discovered from on here is superior anyway.Like this too. Cheers Peter
  14. Was gonna post up Spice by Larry Houston - out of the dirty box. Couldn't find a clip on tinternet and don't have the requisite skills to post on You Tube so it would have been rude not to have done this. Larry "Top Cat" Houston - Lets Spend Some Time Together. Loved this back in the day - still do, it's a great piece of mid tempo soul. Peter
  15. Hi M Thanks very much buddy. Just down loaded 59 and 60 and listening to 59 now. I'll report back when I've listened! Thanks for sharing. Peter
  16. Yep, that's what I find interesting too Bob. Peter
