  1. Clifton Hall, Cleethorpes, Bradford, Notts Odd Fellows (Leics), Hinckley, Stafford - lots of places really. Was totally converted to the dark side - modern became my favourite but still enjoyed quality 60's. Although I have to admit that I never enjoyed the sound of the 60's mafia - Keb and Guy. Those records just didn't resonate with me at all - maybe one or two. Did we bump into each other...............who knows. Back in the day I just danced all night. Pete
  2. Great thread this. To extend it a little I only went to Wigan twice. 81 I guess, to be blown away by Richards set - all great records, 60's and 70's. The one I was singing for days after - Search This World by Tyrone Edwards. Obviously I Need Love by Daybreak. Best set I've ever heard. Pete
  3. I'll go to the top of our stairs!
  4. Barry hasn't been on here for ages - is he alright? P
  5. My mistake. I think he's definitely white though.

  7. Have a look on some YouTube vids - just google. Also plenty of vids on here. You'll probably make plenty of new friends on here - probably some will be local and happy to take you to a venue. what's your name?
  8. You don't need dance classes mate. Just get on the dance floor, get into the vibe and enjoy yourself. Welcome to the site. Pete
  9. Thanks. Do you know who played it.
  10. Ha! Think talking a lot, non stop, mostly rubbish, and dancing your arse off for 48 hours.
  11. Ay up my mate Hope all is well. My memory is very poor at best but I'm not sure that I remember hearing the Del Larks played out ever. That's a real strange one - particularly given the story behind the song. thanks for the info Kegsy. Pete
  12. Who played this first then? I know fcuk all but I thought that Keb played that much, much later. I really don't remember hearing it played back, back in the day. Peter
  13. Wow! Thats fantastic Steve. Absolutely first class mate - and obviously very seasonal. Pete
  14. Do you still live in Loughborough? They wouldn't have sold much breakfast in my hey day!
  15. Well I suspect we ought to know each other - at least by sight! Got some good pictures of Cleethorpes in the gallery. A couple of good threads on here too. pete

  17. Ha! Apologies it was Mick.
