Cleo & Ramona King Soulmate -Arvee
Just picked one of these up. Had never seen it or heard of it before. Didn't listen too carefully but it sure didn't sound like a female duet. More like a single male....I'll have to listen more carefully when I'm back home next week.

Clock On The Wall
Okay, it's NOT the Maiden Sisters. I think I prefer the Maiden Sisters.

White Cliff(S) Label From New Orleans
Okay, I played that weird Bourbon Street Cabaret Band single on the radio last night, as well as the Sonics' "Come Home Baby." Very end of show: https://wfmu.org/playlists/shows/42022

Clock On The Wall
Maiden Sisters on Northern?

White Cliff(S) Label From New Orleans
I'd call it a heavy jazz instrumental, with slightly soundtracky-sounding trumpet-led melody, busy rhythmic backing (guitar? harpsichord? something odd-sounding), full horn section, nice raw sax solo, and hard New Orleans-style drumming. Part 2 is the same with inexplicably added party/crowd noise. Cool record, but not something one would play at a dance party outside New Orleans itself. Might play at my bar gig or on the radio.

Communicators And Black Experience Band On Tri Oak
Communicators and Black Experience Band, The Road/Has Time Really Changed (Tri Oak). Funk side is VG+ (on a M–/VG+/VG scale). Some scuffs that don't affect play; a bit of noise at the very start of record but thereafter it plays flawlessly. Ballad side is VG++. Very nice copy. $650 U.S. I'll cover shipping via USPS Express Mail (which costs me $30 for Europe). Paypal gift only.

Dave Hamilton - Pisces Pace
Got mine from either Manship (or was it Tim Brown?) 15-18 years ago when it was a £2.50 catalogue item...Think I got two or three of 'em, spares long gone. Same with Webb People, if memory serves....

"prince Charles" Pain
Might help if you got the title right! It's "Sick." Unless he has another I don't know about.
-
Prince George - Wrong Crowd
The flip of this one is quite nice, too!

Happy Cats-Destroy That Boy?
I think I've lost even my one keeper copy of the CD! I'm trying to track down another from the radio station....
-
Happy Cats-Destroy That Boy?
Hey, gang. Here's another (confusing) thread on pretty much the same topic from three years ago: To sum up, I got the "unknown artist" version many years ago from my uncle in Detroit, who worked closely with Ollie McLaughlin. It's a ten-inch acetate with zero information on it. Ollie's name was written on the sleeve. I still think it's much, much better than either of the other two versions! Oh, and I assume whoever posted it on youtube got it off a CD I made as a WFMU premium giveaway for listeners who donated to the station during one of our fund drives. (I have made four volumes of around 27 tracks each of Detroit rarities over the years for this purpose, which include a handful of other unreleased things.) Cheers, Matt

Nick Ashford, California Soul
Anyone have a clean copy for me? Thanks.

Fidels On Ebay - How Much
I've been hammering both sides of that Fidels for a while now. Great record. Obviously an aberrant price, but it's only going to go up in value.
-
Sundia - Stand Up And Be A Man (United)
Beware....I've had a copy of this forever that looks mint but plays with much distortion from start to finish. Basically unplayable. My friend has an identical one that plays perfectly, though. I haven't seen enough copies to know whether the distortion problem was unique to mine....

Johnny West-Tears Baby
I think that's a great price. Tough one, and one of my favorite Detroit R&B records.
