Radio 2 "the Definitive History Of Uk Dance" Northern Soul
tend to agree with this for a casiual observer interested in learning a bit about northern soul this show was good and the tracks started off good although did drift off a bit as the show went on. For most people already involved with the scene then its not going to be informative and you are unlikely to learn anything. This is a mainstream radio station at prime time, it was never going to get a show which is aimed at a relatively small minority in the overall scheme of things.

The Diplomats - Perfect Love
thats a thread in its own right "great tracks thare are LP only" but I bet its already been done. There will be endless entries. Kim Tolliver "I'm loosing the feeling" Mary Queenie Lyons "we'll cry together" would be my 2 to start.

Sly Or What
in amongst his auctions the odd good one does pop up but he overhypes all rest as a general rule.

Malaco Discography Wanted
this thread is a fantastic source of information to people like myself who only have a little knowledge of this label. and the few I have picked up have been very cheap and great so its a label to dig into a little more I think.

The Diplomats - Perfect Love
Picked that up a few years ago. Great record. this is the x-roads where our tastes meet I think.

Wanted: Jimmy Holloway On Glass City
the other 2 I have missed were about $400-450 probably 18 months or so ago and bith listed very close together. I put what I thought was a high bid on this copy based on those prices. somebody else obviously wanted it me than me. but I did expect to win this copy with the bid I placed. I like both sides the deep side is fantastic but i don't think the uptempo side is right to become an in demand record on the northern scene so I hope pirce doesn't climb any mroe than it already has.

The Diplomats - Perfect Love
the diplomats CD is excellant well worth picking up, a terrific group. recently been playing "honest to goodness" LOUD on the CD. Might try and pick it up on vinyl cheapish.

Philharmonics On Soulin
I said its got a good flip and is priced right as well so 2 posirtive comments ??????

Philharmonics On Soulin
good flip side on this 45 too. price seems about right for today. Was always an easy 20 quid record but demand has probably pushed it up a bit. $200 was probably a one off sale price never to be repeated. but "I need I need your love" is far better by Tony Owens and a bit harder to find it seems ?

Buddy Cantrell On Tuska
I know for a fact ted has had 3 copies at least one was only vg- cond though and he sold that one a long time ago. the 2 copies in my post were teds 2nd M-m and the $1000 copy. I comp;letely missed the 1at of ted M-. have to say he's had some realy good titles up last year. also the vendellas label 45 that went over $4000.

Buddy Cantrell On Tuska
Herman Good luck. Those 2 ebay copies so close together a couple of months ago one going for $4000 and other $1000 quite amazing. I know condition played a part but even so its a huge difference. I wonder if any of this labels output is ever going to turn up in any qty ? I've only ever seen odd copies of things. Finding a Buddy cantrell was so much better when it was a deep soul collectors 45 and didn't have demand for the uptempo side. It only took me about 4 years to find a copy at a good price in that situation. Now the price has gone stupid.

Ravins On Ristic

Which Label/s Seem To Give You What You're Looking For
have king / federal / hollywood labels had a mention yet ? all great. some of the king are even yellow to keep the yellow vibe alive.

Ravins On Ristic
I might be wrong but i'm sure this is the 2nd copy to go through ebay recently ? both sold for a lot of money. Prehaps it was same copy being resold ?

Geater Davis On Mt

Which Label/s Seem To Give You What You're Looking For
all the above minus motown. And a "fame production" on any label is usually a thing i'd look out for. and for the rare stuff tuska is the label for me.

Bbc Radio2 20 Years Of Dance
looks good when are these shows on ? seen good footage of the summer of love on TV was a touch young myself ... what time ?
-
The Exciters
very common 45 sells for more than it should. I guess you will have to pay between 30 and 50UK ?
