as already answered above it exists we were discussing this very recently. I think that auction was ted ross but I may be wrong ?
  3. To be honest there is so much stuff listed on here I wouldn't even know if things I have listed for sale have been on otger lists or not in a similar time frame. and its pretty common to see one copy of a record doing well on ebay bringing out another or even a few more.
  4. and "danger" is a brilliant deep soul record.

I get the username of a private ebay member if they have won the auction but unless i'm missing a trick its not much use as you can't do anything with that info............. it just confirmed to me that there is one guy winning quite a few of the more desireable things I have bid on.

I am not sure you are right here...... I bid 150 bucks on one that sold for over 250 and it showed me the winner. So I must have been 3rd at best possibly even lower in the rankings.

are all the items being sold by the same person ? if yes then could be shill bidding......
  10. bear with me i'm going to fetch a calculator......
  11. you presume right. its a brilliant record and she must have been quite young when it was made ?
  12. kim tolliver "driving me into the arms of a stranger" rojac 131 will pay book price of 30GBP for a copy that plays clean. by PM please if you have one to sell. thanks.
  13. thats a rare record but far far better is her release on gitana if you like deep soul that is.......
  14. bump.... this plays very well happy to provide full mp3. can offer a small discount on thsi price if necessary.
  15. roger hatcher "I need you" dottys is a brilliant record. I love it.
  16. on the text in the auction this was described as an unissued track so prehaps one of only a very few copies out there. Or even the only copy ? I had a listen to it but not realy my style. Even if it was my style it would have been too expensive for me

so are there also varying degrees of skimming or is it simply skimmed or not skimmed. I had one record that was very obviously skimmed and sounded realy dull. Is it also possible to lightly skim a record and not loose much sound quality ?
  18. honey and bees "dynamite exploded" arctic visually a rough looking copy vg- but plays great PM me if you need to hear the actual record i'll send an mp3. labels have quite a lot of ring wear on the high point 1/2 way between middle and run out groove. Can provide photos if needed. 325GBP delivered payment by paypal gift please by PM if interested regards, dylan
  19. I gave it a very quick spin and it sounded like the backing track to the vocal ? i'll give it another listen. the vicki styles on odex is nice i've never managed to get one myself, her other much cheaper 45 on the pink label is also very good.
  20. j. p. robsison "the price" atco jackey beavers "hold on /hey girl" jaber (2 fantastic sides, far cheaper than his others so must be pretty common or a bit of that and overlooked as well ?) marc copage "talk talk talk" merging gene middleton "no one to love / green grass" Funk Factory Linden Hil "used to be love / remone" Arch (love the deep flip on this midtempo also pretty tasty got onto this a long long time ago but never got round to finding a decent priced copy) Flame N King "the love man" HSP (100mph stomper, great group) and a few more in the post, ssshhhh............

i got as far as holding a magnifying glass over a record but finding the skip was too tricky. I think i'd need something with much stronger magnification and a clamp that held the record.

skimming would be very last resort i've had a record that was skimmed and you loose loads of sound quality. It makes it sound realy dull and takes all the punch out of the track. i'd rather put up with the skip.
  23. do you get the flip side on the demos and is it any good ?
  24. you would have to be very very confused as there is a soundclip with the auction
  25. now sold. thanks.
