Like you say its not what you thought you were bidding on...not his fault! Also once he's reimbursed you what's the problem? I'd be annoyed too if a buyer messed me about like that

Well as others have pointed out, boots have always been about - and I don't see how they are all such useless, poor quality records when there have been dozens or even 100s of posts in look at your box, many from people who seem to have some idea of what they are talking about trying to identify originals from boots, if it was that obvious then you could just tell folk to play them and they would know if it was real as the boots would all sound like sh*t??? Also some boots do have a value - whether you like it or not, if people are willing to pay an amount for them, then they have a value. EDIT - sorry just realised we are talking about MODERN boots - well yes I agree they are rubbish, rip off records

10 bootlegs to 1 original is about the same ratio everywhere you go, records shops, fairs etc so ebay is no different...I don't see the problem - have you considered that some people just want the record cheap and don't even know or care about bootlegs?

No, don't use normal vinyl cleaners (isoprophol alchohol) - washing up liquid & water should be fine though

I sold one a two or three years back - presumed it was a boot - got about £10-£20 for it I think - isn't there something different about the dash between the pre and the vue on the boot I seem to remember? or the shade of green?

Sorry should have been clearer yes prices have gone up but it used to cost £2.50ish to post an LP, but now it costs 20p more but you can send up to 750g whereas before this would have cost more previously so in this respect (multiple LP sales) it's cheaper, I sell a lot of LPs so I can actually send multiple buys for less now than before the price rise

It's not strictly true that royal mail prices have shot up, in fact you can now send up to 750g for £2.71 1st class - so I charge the same price for 2 lps as I would for 1.

Not a mega rarity but it's definately harder to find than MW 3024 - I must have 10 copies of that, but I've only ever seen one of these Motown ones (plus one original)
