  1. Hi, As Pete points out there is lots of info in the threads he mentions, however to save time here is a summary. The tune was issued on the Sussex album "Stay a While With Me" and as a single, the b side to "Scandal in Bedrock" The album version is slightly longer than the 45. There is a dodgy unlabeled 45 in existence which plays the Album version, many will claim this is a test pressing but I'm of the opinion that its a boot. The single is essentially not that rare but its a keeper and as such doesn't appear for sale that often.I guess in todays market with the demand it would sell easily at around £100, although I'm sure many will claim its a £20 record. 9. Yet another three page (at the moment) thread of complete b*ll*cks. Local soul nights and up front events are two completely different animals. Most people attending local soul nights are not soulies in the true definition, most wouldn't know, or care even less about the authenticity of a record, but then again that statement also applied to a large number of punters who attended venues back in the mid 70s . If a Dj ? plays a bootleg and the attendee of the event wants to listen and dance to it where's the harm in that ? Lack of taste or knowledge doesn't mean that someone belongs to a sub species that should be despised and looked down on by a self appointed hierarchy. People buy all manner of fake items, handbags, watches, clothes, perfumes etc if the buyers of all this crap are delusional enough to believe they have got anything like the real thing then who am I, or indeed anyone else, to pass judgement. This is not to say that I personally approve of "Fakes" in any shape or form, but I am realistic enough to recognise, that should I wish to view a real Reubens or Picaso, I'm not going to see them hanging in the "Local (please insert the cuisine of your choice ) restaurant in Cannock town centre. Live and let live chaps, FFS, no ones getting killed !!!

How about a few of us sending this message to the seller :- This is a bootleg copy and worth £50 tops? Yes you know it is. Anyhow, just to give you the heads up, There is a rumour, although can't confirm it that a European based soul buying collective will prevent this from being sold so it would be best thing all round if you were to realist it properly. All the best, If there is no response then snipe all his items with 10 k bids
  13. Good luck with that one in any condition, one of the rarest 12s on the planet !!
  14. Finding a cleaner copy than the one Chris has listed is gonna be tough, most are beat up (inc mine) but all seem to play remarkably well above the visual grade. I would think a mint one would be well north of £200 in today's crazy market.
  15. Just seen it and replied.

  21. Sam Dees----------------- US, UK or Jamaican ? I don't want either (unless you wan't to take £60 for the pair) but it would help your sale if you were a bit more specific. ATB JF
