NO JUST FOUND IT ON YOU TUBE I TALK SHITE .... Ill just go back in my darkened room and perform an act of frightfulness on meself......

Feccin brill harpo.... this is what i mean when youre with real deal soul folk the best times are just around the corner. Heres to many more projects mate, to undertake a project such as that, a certain plane of consciousness needs to be attained. That story has made me piss myself brilliant.
  5. always used to quote the words in I think Bill Withers tune "the good folk jus gettin up in the mornin when the bad folk are jus comin home" man i loved being bad..... still do. Anton top spot at Bishops wood mate first time I'd heard you dj.

Hi guys never got to the Cats but well remember being at the Howard Mallet in Cambridge when a coach load from the Cats came down, boy could those guys dance. the memory has stayed with me since must av been 73-74 ish. The Mallet badge (dinner plate) had sold out think the cost was 75p all embroidered to go on ya blazer, the Cats visitors were offering £5 plus to sell, i never sold mine but a fiver was a lot then. Best Kimbo... Love the old stories.
  12. Thats it in a nut ......ya love it and need to express when the toon hits Right on!!
  13. Hi Mark, down at the Embankment. Not a prob people wanting to go to classes as such, in their own rite. but being at a niter when the promoters asked if we the fans wanted the camera's in and everyone giving the soulfist and saying No keep it underground. This now just smaks to me of footsie or wigans ovation it cheapens things. Just my veiw we all have em. You were only after the birds mate with the latin styleeeee.
  14. Hi mate think your reading me wrongly. Not got any prop with people getting into the music enjoying themselves. thats what its about. Its just in my area a local dance class is cashing in so you may have people that will turn up with just the dance class and not as say you and I, heard music we liked followed it and discoverd the dancing/ lifestyle/ clothing that goes with it as it should be, thats life thats exciting. I just think that having the last week line dancing this week the Phillydog aint my sort of people. If someone is into soul be it 30 odd years or 2 weeks makes no odds to me thats good you are a soulie. Its a dance class that takes that special thing away from something I hold close to my heart. Hope that clears things up. Best Kimbo
  15. See you at the hokey cokey then
  16. Wouldn't knock anyone getting into our scene, but on the coat tails of Duffy "Northern Soul dancing lessons" are being offered at the sort of places that previously did line dancing. This is taking the piss and degrading a cool scene and your local soul do will have a load of twats doing the hokey cokey on the floor with no intresst in the scene I dispair.
