  1. I'll post mine as soon as I get to it past the building works mate, besides it will make a change you not beating me to a toon right in front of my eyes Kenneth!!!!!!!
  2. It's an extra bit in the middle mate, lovely instrumental groove that really lifts it
  3. Unissued LP track if memory serves right, had for a few years on an acetate and spun every now and then and i think the only 'real' copy was Irish Gregs. Great version though.

Bloody hell, what the hell is she telling us!!!!! 'Indeed I Do WHAT!?!'
  5. Latin Soul still rates high in my books, loved it since hearing Gary Rushbrook spin Mongo 'Use It B4 You ose It' as Rex Garvin waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back!! Have loads of this stuff and for those that want to get into it Dusty Groove in Chicago is a great place to start. We spun the 1000mph version of 'I watched you slowly slip away' at the Plinston 1st Anniversary dance comp which really screwed up the dancers!!! On CD there must be getting on for well over 200 Cds out there of the really rare stuff so start hunting boys and girls.

As all my records are in storage at the moment cant confirm 100% but I am certain this is an unissued track, available on the anthology CD only.
  7. New daughter and remodelling of house = lack of funds so I will be listing a load of Northern on eBay shortly and will keep you posted here on some of the bigger titles up for grabs. However, I could do with an idea of value for the Constellations on Violet (which is a better take than the one Tim has on his CD) as well as a white test pressing of the Allen Sisters, Roosevelt Matthews on King (edge warp NAP), John Wesley on Mellic as prices these days are hard to keep up with. Many thanks
  8. Will work on it whilst the builders are still here wrecking the house babe!!! Oi! I may be 40 now but that comment about under 35 was HARSH!!!!
  9. Ask around babe, wouldn't need to hold you down, have the cuffs!!!!!!!! For an Amos track, well here's a pic of me in my younger days to get the juices flowing. I leave it to you to decide if it is worthy of an Amos or not!!! By the way, I have a load of suggestions for the unissued Motown for inclusion on future volumes, I'll mail you on it. Oh, and Jane says 'Back Off You Tart!!!!!' - I think she means Mark?
  10. Does this mean Mark I have to fight you for the right to have her behind the bike sheds???? That Earl King is worth the price of the CD alone - as for my technique, I prefer to scrape and then suck with a licking action :-) Oh, that's for you Jo, not you Mark (god I hope your not too excited and disappinted now mate!!!!!)
  11. Dearest Jo, not only is our love unrequited but now you put the super duper and unissued(?) Earl King onto Cd at long last which means I can play a decent copy rather than my doddgy acetate! AND, oh joy, I see you too are a Jaffa - lover of the cake rather than anything else. We will have to admit we were meant to be - just don't let Jane know!!! Great track listing babe, another quality effort (can I get a free one now?)
  12. I'm sure Tim Brown will really improve the standard at the club Ady, well done :-))))
  13. That would explain why you married Johnny Ali!!!!!
  14. I've looked through all the boxes, record lists and guides but cant find a mention of either of these 2 groups. How rare are they????
  15. Have just read the reasons behind this and feel disgusted that they should be treated this way. Have always heard nothing but great things about junction 11 and to be stabbed in the back like this, by the management, is appaling! We will have to wait and see if it continues as a soul venue or if management have another music night in mind because if its continuing as a soul night then it's very brave soulies that are prepared to endorse this action by running the night!!!!! As a promoter I know what it like trying to get punters through the door to pay for the event and to spend money at the bar and its a hard thankless job and I feel, in the current climate of too many venues and to few punters, this may not be the last closure we see. Good luck in the new venue guys.
  16. Mike is right, the need for water to be available and free is a requirement and due to the drugs scene in general of the 90's. It is something we have dealt with at the Plinston for the past few years, the need or water that is, and ensure that once the bar shuts at 1am there are plenty of water jugs freely available. We would never confiscate water bottles on the door...thouse that contain water that is and not vodka...eh ladies!!!!!!
  17. or try the cd on Grapevine featuring many unissued tracks as well - in a word ESSENTIAL

No Dukester, I'm guessing that the site owners are making sure that Butch is happy to have his number for all to see first mate. Makes sense really

This is not a rare record and Pete is right, I have Ska collector friends who have this in their collection and I got mine for less than £30 a few years back, That said, I'm not surprised it's going for stupid money, seems to be the norm these days. Cest la vie, I have it so I'm not bothered - this time :-)

  22. Well Tony, I'd like to take you upstairs and give you the love you deserve, like the man you are, cover you in whipped cream and run around the room in my milkmans uniform screaming 'Tony Is A Big Boy!' with the windows open - or have I misunderstood the meaning of my best offer????
  23. Hi Craig, thanks for the comments and it was a cracking night!! Will chat soon and no you cant have my copy!!! I'll see if I've still got the French guys details on file though. Steve - not being very quiet at the moment are we!!! The front page looks like a hallalujah chorus for you!!! Will be in touch re: more dates soon
  24. Hi mate! Good to see you last Saturday and top toon choice from you. Paid £20 for mine from French boogie dealer, shouldn't be too hard to pick up and slowed down by -2 sounds even better
