  1. Somebody somewhere needs you -Darrell Banks What lyrics sang so uplifting n soulful that recording cheered me up many times over the past several years along with Open the door to your heart its in my top tunes of alltime list Yip dont come much better than those two pieces of Detroit Magic................ Tomangoes--really love you another slab of lyrical torture brill !!! In fact most Soul Music recordings are,nt lyrics they,re pure Poetry penned by people who are sharing lifes trials and tribulations with us ..I remember as a 12 yr kid listening to Otis Reddings Ive been loving you too long in my front room on my Grundig record player and my eyes filling with tears by the end thats what Soul is ! plucks your heart strings and tortures your soul bringing you joy and pain Wow joy and pain thats another awesome tune blimey could go on allnite.. xx Ian C

  10. Rod Shard gave me a copy years ago in Afflecks Palace Manchester because it would,nt play even tho it looked ok , Steve Jones my mate put it on a old record player and started playin it at 78rpm within a couple of secs a thin film of crap was building up on the stylus gave the 45 a quick wash down with surgical spirit and hey presto it played perfect spun it out for around 6 months then sold it for £150 to Soul Sam and gave Rod £75 at his stall which im sure he did,nt expect..not bad for a 45 he gave me to stick on the loft wall

Rob and Andy Rix use to play mostly out of the same dj box with 45,s / acetates that they picked up together over the years from what i remember Rob T sold it to Steve Chadwick from Runcorn then later on Rob bought it back i think and still has it to my knowledge.. Regards Ian C
