  1. I don't think I could remember all the do's in the Manchester area that I have been to, let alone the whole country! I do know that I have been to fourteen different weekenders over the years. (this was nine when I 1st typed it lol) I will try and have a think about All- Nighters, and get back to you. Normal soul nights not a chance of remembering them all. It is forty years this year since my 1st Soul Night, (Blackpool Mecca) over that if you count local Disco and youth club days.
  2. The 100s of people that you meet and become friends with, that you would have not met if you had not liked the music.
  3. Dancing to them at my age, heart attack waiting to happen. lol. Joking apart it would be great to have one's youth back, just to dance to records like this all night. I couldn't dance to two on the trot nowadays. My legs won't hold out anymore.
  4. Well there are three train stations in Burnley, (Central, Barracks, and Manchester Road). Central and Barracks are on the Preston to Colne line. Manchester Road is on the Preston to York line. I would say that Manchester Road is the nearest just, followed by Central, but even the Barracks is only a ten minute walk tops.
  5. With the LP you get "This Thing Called Love" as well.
  6. How the f**k is a shite Pop Record played at Wigan the Modern equivalent ?

The other side of Carol & Gerri was played at Wigan "How can i find a way", I always liked "On You Heartache Looks Good" alot better. That the side we all played at Accy Band Club 1976.
  10. Sue, I rather be strip searched by Nora Batty than f**kin Jordan, or Johnny Depp for that matter.
  11. No Sue, I got fined a tenner. John the lad with me got fined fifteen pounds. Happy Days.
  12. One of many of her songs, takes me back to The Angels in Burnley. So sad to die at any time but a lot worst to die so young. R.I.P. Teena Marie (Lady T.)

When was Sam Fletcher covered up? Was it covered up at Stafford? I played it as Sam Fletcher around the Burnley area circa 79.
