  1. Didn't Smokey Robinson also train in dentistry before his career with the Miracles?
  2. In six years, I have sent out over 1,000 packages, and NONE have broken in the post or in transit. It can be done..................
  3. Maybe this is a veiled euphemism which really means "play this at your next venue and watch the crowd run away, screaming in fright"?
  4. Bob and Fred - "I'll Be On My Way"..........................
  5. Nice. Wasn't this an LP only track? I'm sure I had it on the "People" LP on UK Direction, but was it released as a single?
  6. And where exactly did Pet first play it covered up?
  7. Never heard of another release of it......... Which reminds me of a funny story dating back to my youth. As a regular NME reader in the mid-70s, I would always read the record sales. At this time, loads of Elvis Presley's Japanese EPs were offered for sale by leading record specialists. One day, my aunt caught me reading an ad, and asked what I was looking at. After showing her the ad, she looked puzzled and said "If he's singing them in Japanese, why would anyone want them?" So come on then - do they sing it in Spanish..doh!
  8. Absolutely agree Dan. One of those records I couldn't fault (other than it being elusive and too pricey)!
  9. I completely agree - effing brilliant record, and one I could never tire of. Yes, Milestone was a jazz label. A few UK LP releases came out here on CBS.
  10. Who covered up "Hey Girl" as "The Downtown Generation" by the Mike Post Coalition?
  11. ..whom apparently Steve made delve into his world of S&M. Apparently beat Suzie in Big Brother as being the first semi-celebrity to be forced to take a golden shower........
  12. I thought Such Misery was about £50, and the white demo about £150. My white demo came from Ebay a few years ago for $40!
  13. Well Geoff - that remains to be seen! But you won't find out until between 12:15 - 1.00, as I have the final spot on Friday! Look forward to seeing you then mate. Gene

  15. Thanks for shedding some light on this for us Neil! I had no idea about the Chuck Willis version of this. I've got an issue on green Columbia, and absolutely love it! Trouble is, when I did a search on it, I couldn't find any links soul/mod/rnb wise at all! Gene

  23. I can't believe Glenn would do this! I've bought/sold from him, and even met the guy - he seemed quite sound! He did sell me "Dr Truelove" for £15 in 1995, so have to say that I love him!
